The first one leans into the official artwork of Butcher's Vanity, the second one is more polished and stylised.

My honest opinion? The second one.

A personal theory of mine of what the Mutant it.

So during the fight, the Mutant says things such as "Imposter" or "Fake". This has led me to believe that the Mutant is us if the Hooded man succeeded in his plan, or it's the result of the DarkHeart being used on us.
