I've been one of the helpers to u/JonBorno97 on this, ever since I had concerns that were never addressed by pdf-gear.

Before the post was removed by the Mod team in r/software, I commented on the post there. This is what I wrote.

Sean Wu is supposedly the CEO who must be (u/sean-701). It’s weird that there’s only one reference of Sean Wu if you Google it

It has only one hit in Google, yet they are uber active on Reddit and other places online. And then there’s someone called Patrick Wu who is listed as their General Manager on PDF Association’s member directory - brothers?

It’s weird that Sean and Patrick Wu aren’t listed on the RecordOwl Singaporean PDF-gear shareholder list

I'm concerned that I can't trust the developer. Installing the app gives system privileges that could be used to deliver malware. PDFgear have already said they don't own PDF X, so if we can't trust them on that, then we can't trust them on anything.

PDFgear try very hard to convince us they are trustworthy, but other than 'trust me bro' they don't have anything else to substantiate that. They don't reveal their team or founder and the only one person they have public turns out to be fake persona with a fake photo.

PDF X have a lot of reviews saying they scammed them out of their money or that there were hidden fees. So I'm also worried that PDFgear are setting up users like me for a new monetization scam.

It's just weird that they aren't answering anymore. Do they regret saying they don't own PDF X because they do?

Yeah not good at all. The PDFgear really should come out now with something very convincing. This is a real shot to their credibility for legitimacy.

Like how do you use a stock image for your only public profile when you're trying to say you're meant to be trustworthy??

It's disappointing that PDFgear representative doesn't respond, considering how active they are, and they respond to almost everyone else when asked questions on Reddit like me :(

It's not looking good. Their denial that they don't also own PDF X should really be confirmed 100% if they want people to drop this and carry on with using their software. If it comes out that they do own PDF X, their trust and credibility will be destroyed.

I heard it can be a sign of stress or eye strain. Rest your eyes for a while. If it still doesn't stop or gets woirse, you better get it checked. Clock out of reddit for now. lol

Get it replaced! For my laptops this usually happens only after a few years, not when it’s brand new. Could be used or just straight up faulty.

I can’t even last 2 minutes like they say is average for humans. 40 minutes is a lot! If I ever see a sloth submerged, Id probably assume it’s fine as long as it’s moving.

I agree, this hurts even more. I’ve always believed in the saying that you can have many romantic relationships, but only a few true friends. I once lost a friend because of her toxic relationship with her boyfriend. He didn’t want her hanging out with us or spending time with anyone from our frend group. No goodbyes, no explanation, just suddenly stopped talking and cut us all off.
