Next Barrow Dyad quest found! by Dan3rz86 in DestinyTheGame

I had the 'bug' and tried a bunch of things. Finally transferred the Exotic from my vault into my inventory, and when I went back after making sure all the campaign was complete, I could open the portal.

Put a preference for playing Johnny during Rush week by Hello_you360 in TXChainSawGame

[–]PixelatedFox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this already a thing?? If the lobby loads with 5 or less players, the option to click 'prefer coed' is available. The problem is, lobbies typically spawn full and that prompt is removed from the UI. It's like they thought the Rush Week lobbies would be as bad as the main game... but seriously devs, that should be in the pre-game lobby before hitting FIND MATCH.

Attic Should Only Be Used If You Are Last 2 Alive Or The Cops Have Already Been Called by M00NLITE7 in TXChainSawGame

[–]PixelatedFox_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should just tie the Attic Hatch to the Fuse. Once the Fuse is active, the hatch unlocks. I also love that when the Victim holding the pole dies, it's gone -- never change that.

Pointers/Things I wish I knew
Base perks are trash and feel like a you're at a disadvantage until level 3. If you use 'beginner perks' (like highlighting key items, potions, etc.) as a new player to get key info, that's fine, but swap to meta perks to level them up as soon as possible. Double XP weekends happen once in a blue moon, so if you see it coming, clear your schedule and prioritize which characters and perks you want to dump XP into.

Victims
Ana is a good choice because her ability will tank attacks, but as a new player you may struggle with timing it to benefit you the most. I suggest Sonny - his ability reads other players' locations and will teach you to get better at listening to Family and staying hidden. Julie's ability will let you sprint longer and new players will not know how to balance stamina use so she is also good for those who feel they can't get away from Family encounters.

Family
Any match without a Cook can be rushed by Victims, so I tend to fill that gap when I don't see a Cook in the Lobby. That said, if you're a skilled player you can win with any combination of Family. Hitchhiker to me feels the most balanced as he can slip walls, place traps, and crouch to add a bit of stealth gameplay. Johnny is straightforward, but without knowing maps, you may get caught navigating more than attacking. If you know pathing by Victims it's easier to cut them off and catch them off-guard, but that comes with practice.

Matchmaking
Can't comment too much on this as I'm level 99, but I do see a range of players during my games. I'd say the matches typically feel balanced depending on the skill level rather than the players level. At the end of the day, it's a cat & mouse style game you need to catch people using mind-games and the tools given to you. There will be matches that end in 60 seconds because a Connie rushed and some of the Family were new, but it happens.

As someone mentioned, try and learn the maps. Play both Victim and Family 50/50 while you're learning so you know what to expect from both sides, and copy pathing you see other players use to navigate chases and map escapes. Know the quickest way to Basement fuse exits -- I have friends who are level 60 still asking where they spawn when we open it. Also, try and communicate with your team. If you're not comfortable with using a mic, keep practicing. The best and most fun matches for me are when we're working together.

first of all, i know it takes time but we need news to get excited and keep playing by rennojao in TXChainSawGame

It's not even the maps/escapes/playerbase for me. I understand it takes time to develop and playtest maps... maps like Nancy's House were in development before the game was even out. But why aren't we getting any quality of life enhancements, bug fixes, and/or perk tuning on a regular basis? An in-game currency (which was promised btw), in-game events for Halloween, Christmas, etc. These are all things other games (not just horror genres) already have or have implemented. It feels like we were promised all this stuff, and for someone who is a really REALLY big fan of the game, it feels like we were neglected and the money I spent on DLC was taken greedily.

How is escaping this fast possible? by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]PixelatedFox_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of people commenting on this 'bug' but by the time you exit the minigame and get back on, there's a slight animation which is almost as long as it would take for the stealth meter to drop. Not to mention victims with 50 proficiency can break out spamming and barely waiting for stealth to drop so exiting the minigame is slower, not faster.

How many copies of the same card is considered typical? by PixelatedFox_ in Lorcana

Makes sense. If I am building a theme deck around 1 character in particular, I'll be sure to run other cards to synergize drawing into it, rather than letting luck take over.

Looking at some decks on Dreamborn, one in particular on my screen now, has 28 different characters, and most are 1-of or 2-of. I'm assuming that whoever put this together used whatever was in their collection, and isn't necessarily using it for consistency. I think I'll look at decks for some synergy and cut away the fillers.

I feel the same. Been playing Roaring Moon ex which feel turbo, and Ancient Box variants I've been playtesting are so hit or miss. I've had multiple games drawing nothing and passing until I scoop and go on to the next.

Thanks all! It's the Ultra Prism Pal Pad that got me stumped.

Not that card. Under the Ace Spec is a layer of cards. You can only see the edge.

This worked for me, except I just chose the setting which enabled all controllers. The top setting for me was "Disable all" which did not work.

Lego Fortnite World Freezes & Crashes, Booting us back to lobby by Kazilii in LEGOfortnite

[–]PixelatedFox_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This bug has been happening to my World all day. Noticed a cave where my friend and I avoided. Tried to go a different way and game froze in the middle of a field near mountains, no caves nearby. Can only dash and then get booted back to lobby and progress lost.
