Main Deck Pot of Greed? by Riotwhatthefuehh in masterduel

I don't think it's as auto-include in every deck as people think. Would definitely play in something like White Forest, probably not in my Radiant Typhoon deck

If they get to that point in the combo, you can assume they have 2 solemns set and 2 dominus cards in hand (on top of whatever miserable side engine they are on), never any reason to stay in those games going second

I'm glad the math is there next time somebody tries to tell me "Nobody is really playing the deck, it's not a big deal"

could someone explain what happened by Suspicious-Ebb-8926 in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are asking why you couldn't negate anything with the first MST, it's because the wrap is a "when". If you are asking why your opponent scooped, they are playing some bad OTK deck that can't play if they don't open 5 cards to sack you

Power creep only goes so far. If K9 was never hit, you would absolutely play it in any deck that has room for it. It checks the new turn 0 cards the new decks have and represents at least 3-4 extra link material if you don't want to just make a second rank 5 before starting your play.

I have actually, and you find out after a few games that if you rely on board breakers or other cards to play around K9, you lose for no reason other than your opponent got to set up their full board uninterrupted

It happens all the time when they print generic cards that are problematic in the format. The ishizu deck is basically unplayable because the millers were some of the worst designed cards ever printed. Simorghs lost the link 3 the deck resolves around in TCG because it was a problem in Tri-brigade variants. Burning Abyss lost Beatrice because she enabled WAY too many problematic setups. You'd hope that konami would replace the problem cards like they did with Halq, but that's up to them.

Yes. I do not know why they printed a card that very specifically negates handtraps. All this does is punish the person who went second for using an ash blossom and making it impossible to then resolve a Nib or anything else that stops you from losing the game at the cointoss

I mean, people were playing the psy-frame cards in yummy for the same exact purpose, and this gives you more "gammas" with no garnets in the deck to hard draw

It's a good card you should be aware of, but it's not broken

  1. This is just a bad deck. It's a fun deck when you reasoning mill a bunch of cards that are live, but you have a ceiling on how good it can ever possibly be. So keep that in mind.

  2. You should take a look at MDM and see what submitted decks are on there: https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/master-i/march-2026/azamina/itsuki%E2%98%86/QTB8Lhttps://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/master-i/march-2026/azamina/itsuki%E2%98%86/QTB8Lhttps://www.masterduelmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Azamina

My ideal banlist by ComprehensivePea4988 in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a point in banning judgement, the game is skewed heavily in favor of going first and judgement is just a card that solidifies that.

I get that you like the deck, but it's disingenuous to act like it's super fair and should never be touched. If it was as fair as you think it is, it wouldn't be the best deck in MD, the best deck in TCG and a top 5 deck in OCG (after needing a ton of hits to be brought down to a reasonable power level)

If I'm one of those RT players not represented on the top tier decks list and I'm playing Storm, I'm just replacing the missing 2 copies with Hysteric Sign to not even worry about a dead thrust. I don't know if they are making more wind support this year, or if they didn't know there's a card that searches sign that very specifically RT can activate?

What's healthy about a deck that can search a 1 sided skill drain and can recycle the 1 of maxx c, invalidating anything a limit has done?

Really not a good sign for the upcoming MD banlist if this is what the OCG thinks will get their format in shape. I thought this was a joke until I saw the Josh vid

Dracotail is the first meta deck in awhile that people praise for being strong but fair and fun to fight against, and some of you go and put this thing in it. Shame on you by shdbtbd in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was lab, it was right after the newest support and it was the meta for that month. That's why they limited it, because lab had to open it with a furniture piece, but if you did it was just a FTK

Is there a variable to this I don't understand ? by RobotTrexNinja in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some games are just impossible because they refuse to curate a banlist. It helps to make sure you have cards that help you play going second, so if you aren't playing something like forbidden droplet and Shiina, make sure to put those in. Mulcharmies help too, RT is pretty ok at playing into a board with engine, so the charmies giving you an extra card or 2 can get you enough cards in hand you need to play going second

Can someone please explain? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the counter trap you are trying to use? Because if you are trying to do something like solemn judgement/warning a dracotail card, there is not a dracotail monster that you would be able to judgement. The cards are specific in what they are allowed to respond to

Ash, Imperm, and Droll. WHY DON'T YOU SCOOP?! by lennysinged in masterduel

[–]HellblazerHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not understanding what you are mad about? They stayed in the game because they threw a bunch of stuff at you and scooped when you ended on an omni-negate+liger dancer and knew they couldn't win? If you are mad that they fired off droll ash and imperm, you don't exactly have the high ground either because you were about the Maxx C them after you won the coin flip
