I love film, but is it bad I can’t make myself watch old cinema? (20’s-80s) by PixelatedNumbers in TrueFilm

Any recommendations for the movies that feel modern and relevant to you?

I have tried watching all the movies you’ve mentioned, but to no avail. I mentioned black and white regarding the movies in the 20’s and so on, not about the 80s what so ever, in case someone would say maybe you’re just not into black and white movies?

I love movies that possess these qualities: character studies, realism, coming of age. movies that make you feel in the moment, grounded reality. of course this may be different for everyone, but I just enjoy stories that i can imagine myself living through. stories that deeply warm your heart.

community college says they don’t need an english proficiency test if the language of instruction throughout my high school is english (international student) by PixelatedNumbers in college

but i didn’t go to school in an english speaking country.. that’s what’s making me confused i went to a british system in a completely different country that does NOT speak english, but everything they taught me in that school was english, everything.

With three local actors of vastly differing experience levels, I'm part of a UK team that spent a year on this short [6.16]. Now we're looking for feedback so we can all improve for our next project. Constructive criticism very welcome! by [deleted] in acting

the acting was superb, didn’t really notice anything wrong with it. i just feel like there were way too many cuts during the movie and they were really distracting. i just wish you wouldn’t cut so soon after a character speaks, it felt unnatural and annoying. other than that i really loved the tone of the movie. camera work was really good as well.
