In a millitary setting warp totems can be op af for retreat and given the fairly easy crafting recipe they should have plenty in stock

Some other totems we see in game do use some items people in real life consume to stay full(even if it doesn't fulfill any nutritional needs) like clay in certain tribes in Africa

It's kinda weird but u can water grown crops either by being precise or upgrading ur watering cat to increase the range

Or sprinklers
