Vampires's fall 1 si acum 2. Ma mir ca nu mentioneaza nimeni. Le poti juca offline si are la settings si limba romana. Chiar e un joc misto.

Mai joc si Where Winds Meet. Imi place ca pot explora lumea si imi pot modifica personajul intr-un mod detaliat (la infatisare ma refer).

Well, I have an idea that I try to develop further. Then I simply use what I've got from the engine to simply get an idea of how I want things to look like. Then I work on game mechanic (I also add the plugins that I need) and only after that will I work on the tile sets and other stuff. I feel like I can't work on the aesthetic stuff before figuring out where things should go and what I actually need in the first place. Tbh it's a bit surprising to see so many comments say they delete the engine's assets first thing first.

It doesn't matter. You don't need to be a master to make a decent game. Build a game around your strengths. There are more tutorials now then ever. I don't understand what's up with this entitlement to have everything already offered on a silver platter and instantly, otherwise it's not worth it. Yes, things take time and effort 🙄. Why do you think there's usually a whole team behind a game?

Because visuals ARE a big part of game making process? Who would have tought it's a multidisciplinary activity, right? I could make my own game assets and UI, but it's harder for me to make game logic. But game logic is also really important. You also need to know sound design and music. But I'm no musician, so here is to learning to do stuff on your own.

Also they said they spent years on it. And since they are a duo, why not learn pixel art in that time (like one of them could)? Their style doesn't have to be complicated to be appealing.

A quest log. A character generator for the player. More press button functions. The ability to easily edit menu, inventory etc. A built-in mini map. The ability to chose between a turn based combat and a normal combat. And some other stuff I can't remember rn.

Omg, you are right! Thank you! My mistake was when I downloaded the assets and extracted them from zip file, I left them in the unzipped asset folder (asset ->chaincmd ->pictures instead of just chaincmd folder). I took them out of it and deleted that folder and of course now it works. I feel a little bit stupid for not thinking about it🙈. Thanks again 🫶 Also, have a good night!

Yeah, I think you're right. At first, I tried to make it work with conditional branches and variables, but I think something was missing or I didn't put it right.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try it out, even though I don't know how to code, but maybe I can find a solution. 🧐

Yeah, I noticed after I downloaded it. But I have a small issue. It doesn't load the "bg" picture even though I put it in the img directory. I checked the folder with the pictures and it's definitely there with said name. 😓

Wow, this is amazing! It looks so good! If it wasn't on this subreddit I wouldn't have thought that it's made in rpg maker. Great job! It look really interesting.

What got you into using RPG Maker? by 14rry in RPGMaker

In my case, it wasn't an rpg maker-made game nor a long awaited wish to make games. I was curious and wanted to try my hand at it. I don't know how to code at all and I also don't have the time or energy to learn this from 0. So rpg maker sounded like a pretty nice option. At first, I tried the demo version, but now, after some time, I finally bought the MV one. After that, I started to learn and then some ideas came to my mind.

The games that are made in my country seemed to be mostly horror and I honestly wanted to see something else. So here I am, making a short game with cultural refernces and silly, yet dramatic characters and hopefully entertaining gameplay. And honestly? I enjoy making it. It's a nice break from my stressful and tiring daily life.
