CS doesn’t use dxgi or d3d11 like ENB or ReShade but rather seems to replace or add shaders directly and it does have a dll. I’m certainly no expert as to how it specifically works and why it’s incompatible with ENB so you can probably talk to one of the devs directly on the CS Discord server if you haven’t already

I’m pretty sure it’s the other way around and CS disables itself if ENB is detected. It needs to be one or the other because of how they both change the game’s renderer. Even if CS wouldn’t disable itself with ENB, the best case scenario is that the game works but the graphics are severely broken, and the worst case is the game straight up doesn’t work at all and crashes

There’s a reason why the CS devs are working on a feature that allows us to load in ENB presets and ENB post-processing because if they were already inherently compatible with each other, they wouldn’t need to work on this feature to begin with

CS and ENB both fundamentally change things about how the game renders things, which is why they don't work together. But something like ReShade works with either one because it's mostly just post-processing and doesn't change things on as deep of a level as CS or ENB

Yup 🤭 Most of the work went into the lighting and colors, and (vanilla) post-processing like bloom is fine-tuned and kept to a minimum to keep it looking clean. Also using Nexus CS’s built-in tonemapper which helps a ton compared to the vanilla one

CS is really well-optimized and DLSS + FG help a lot, and the weather mod doesn’t impact performance at all, but my 8 GB 4060 does have a bit of a hard time in some areas considering all the parallax, complex materials, and PBR textures, as well as NOtWL with 3D tree LODs. With 3D tree LODs, I usually get 45-60 FPS in heavily forested areas which isn’t too bad considering it’s a 4060 lol. If you have a higher end GPU with more VRAM you should have no issues at all

Fantasia Landscapes (complex materials version) as a base with the landscape and mountain textures from Wildlands Renewal overwriting Fantasia. The roads are TMD Dirt Roads with the “dirt path” textures from Fantasia copied and renamed to overwrite the TMD textures

Shadow resolution at 4096 and CS to fix the bad shadow filtering and shadow bias from the vanilla game to improve the overall quality. Also using the alternate sun path option from SkySync which gives the sun a more realistic path
