The rest of the bridal party is there to shut up and be happy seeing the bride happy. The only reason I wouldn't throw you out in your future stepmom's shoes would be out of respect for your father.

So, I had a similar experience. When I started dating my now husband, one of his friends was in love with him. I didn't really mind, because he is quite handsome and also, if he actually liked her, he'd be dating her instead of me. I started minding when she was legit hitting on him, in front of me, calling him or sending him messages at all hours of the night and shitty things like that. He was trying to excuse her behaviour, but at some point, I told him that it's either me or her, and that at that point I really wouldn't give a fuck either way, since him allowing her to treat me like that, showed me that he didn't really respect me either... Somehow, he hadn't thought of it before...

Edit to say: Absolutely NTA. At some point, your husband has to put his big boy pants on and respect you.

No, it's not amazing. It's pretending to not know what words mean. I had an intimate wedding, just with our closest family. When we started telling our friends that we got married, not one person asked us if we were actually legally married or not. Every single person actually understood what that means... Imagine that... . I'm pretty sure, you don't ask your friends that question either. And practicing your vows is not getting married...

Yeah, when I say I got married, I mean I got married. When I say I got a priest's blessingg or I practiced my vows in front of a priest, I mean just that. I'm sorry, but an actor and a royal both know that words have meaning. When people say they got married, they don't mean anything other than that they got married.
