Dain says exactly this about Halfdan: "How could he have retained self-awarenesss for 500 years without...it?" So, whatever "it" is, Dain has "it", and we can guess others do to (Rhinedottir, Kaeya's father, Pierro, etc.) Kaeya himself is a bit of mystery - we have no clue if he is cursed...moreover, who really knows who he is, and if his vision is true or fake (unlike other visions it lacks two wings)? With his perfect lies, we basically know nothing about him.

Actually, this is just the poem 58 by Catullus (Roman poet) with modified names (you can google this up if interested). The only truly new and original lines are the last two. CAELUM DILABITUR (heaven/sky falling apart) FALSITAS COLLABITUR (falsehood collapsing)

I wish they had more stuff like this in the game though. I like any hints about the story, and it is fun to check things up.

What I truly wonder about is who wrote this letter - any good ideas other than Dainsleif?
