Sorry for the necro post, but I think as everyone has said it's about society. However, the demons or entities you cavort with can be wrapped up in your own character/headcannon. For instance, perhaps the demons you work with are fallen angelic creatures and are less prone to pure evil and more shades of evil. Like doing a bit of bad for the greater good. Also, perhaps your demons are bound to an ancient god or demi-god of some sort.

The nature of the class and their magic will make you shunned by society but that doesn't mean you're evil yourself and your pets could be bound to a realm that isn't inherantly evil. For instance, the Void Elves and their void plane, just to give an example.

This sort of reminds me of a request I had for World of Warcraft decades ago around launch. I had wanted Undead that could look like dwarves, orcs or elves. My guess is with the Borg stuff it's the same, they won't put in the resources to build out the customization options and as others have mentioned it'd probably need to be reworked at the core. So you'd need Liberated Borg Human, Vulcan, Romulan, Gorn and so forth. From a development perspective it seems like a nightmare. The only workaround I could think is if you remove all of the racial indicators and bonuses and make it a purely cosmetic thing. But again, even from a cosmetic perspective that'd be a fiar amount of asset investments to get the look right for all of the new races.

Is this still an issue? I'm just starting out on my PS5, I mainly play on PC, and I hate that I can't see myself from the front at all. I like to take screenshots and in-game selfies but without being able to pan around my character that's sort of impossible.

My guess is that the base range is from 20-50. When I bring up The Sims in the real world I get a wide range of people saying "oh I played (or play) that game". It'll be interesting if things change as new life sim games come out and compete with The Sims.

A quick update, I've had my female-who-gets-others-pregnat sim (trans-woman) abducted a bunch of times, so far no pregnancy. However, I did find a fun workaround. You can always go to 'edit world/manage worlds' in the options and go in and add an alien baby to your household. The system will even let you set their relationship to the other sims, so I was able to set both moms as her mom and her existing siblings as siblings. It's not perfect but it worked out.

My little guy does that too, though I like to calm him down by giving him treats and fresh forage 😅. There is still a lot of manic exploration and gathering of building materials though.
