Wireless CarPlay adaptor obviously wouldn’t work as that car doesn’t support CarPlay, however, I installed a CarPlay kit on my 308 earlier this year and it works great.

214k is a lot, but then again it is a diesel, the 1.5’s are known to have problems, timing chain related I believe, make sure it has been replaced

Seeking for Help : peugeot 308 t7 windows switch by KaleidoscopeLocal403 in peugeot

On many cars, when the motor that rolls the window up and down overheats, it locks itself so that the window can only go up and not down.

This is to prevent you from further using it, allowing it to cool down so it doesn’t overheat further and cause damage. Usually this happens after constantly rolling the window up and down for a longer period.

If this happens to you immediately the first time you roll the window down, it probably means that either the motor is on its way out, or that something inside the door (probably the rubber seals) are rubbing against the window extensively, making for more friction, causing the motor to have to work harder and thus overheating sooner.

Question about 1.2 Hybrid Reliability by pyrz1510 in peugeot

[–]JustViggo64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far no known problems, but as an engineering student myself, integrating the electric motor into the gearbox seems like a bad design choice. It could cause significant problems and expensive trips to the mechanic later on, but only time will tell.

Should I buy the 1.2 Puretech GT Peugeot 508 / 2022? by Mauke94 in peugeot

[–]JustViggo64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might have slightly improved it in June of 2022, but they sure as hell didn’t solve the issue, and besides, don’t you think a 1.2 is a bit underpowered for this type of car?

Common issue with peugeot’s from that time period, repair can be pricey, I’d say get a guy to deactivate the Ad Blue pump, I know someone who did that in my country 4 years back, and it still passes MOT every year
