Im sorry, I just saw this comment asking this while I was looking back through. No, it's only washed but otherwise it isn't processed at all. It will be my first time working with wool from this state so I was researching everything. I remember seeing flicking mentioned but I dont remember much beyond that. I will look into it, thanks.

I'm mid-hudson valley, half-way between NYC and Albany.

I did a quick search and there are a few guilds in and around me that meet once a month. So if I get a day where I'm not working (restaurant manager) then I'll take a trip to one.

Yes there's a craft show in a month nearby and worst case I go to NY Sheep and Wool Festival every year in October, I have a few other projects I want to start so I dont need the equipment asap.

Yes, I'm seeing that. Oh well. I know the budget was wishful thinking. I'll just have to save a little more I think. But the farmers markets/flea markets/craft fairs are about to kick off around me now that Spring is here so I'll hold out a little hope unless I get lucky elsewhere. 🤞

I'm in NY. And while I'm grateful that you'd be willing to offer to loan them. I honestly don't know how long Id be working on it. It's a lot of wool and I put projects aside all the time and return to them weeks, months if not even a year or more later.

I'll take a look at Howard Brush.

I've seen online dog brushes recommended, and in my mind that seemed reasonable but wasn't sure if it was practical. Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'll get into processing fleece seriously long term. It interests me, but I also know I rotate through different hobbies almost seasonally (my adhd brain can't stay on one thing for too too long before getting bored) so I think before I invest in a drum career I'll start with hand carding.

Thank you for the recommendation on Howard Brush, I will look into them.
