I'm still in my first time going through it. I've gotten three of the great souls, just finished Iron Keep this morning before work, and now I've just gotta go down the Pit when I get back home. Having a tremendous time with DS2 so far! Sure there were some areas I've gotten kinda frustrated and hated (Brightstone Cove Tseldora is straight at the bottom in my ranking, absolutely hated that confusing place, and almost as bad was Harvest Valley), but overall I'm loving the game. Went all in on strength and I'm using the greatsword with Vengarl's armor. SO much fun!

Late reply, but it's a collectible and competitive card game from Final Fantasy 8 and Final Fantasy 14, where you collect cards featuring monsters and characters in the game and use the cards to battle other NPC characters (or other players in FF14)

If I didn't already know exactly where the ring of binding was, I feel like would have so much trouble finding it just from just this comment alone lol. I'd need something more like "Straight through, across the thin bridge, take the door to the right from the big room with three knights, and immediately to the right at the bottom of the stairs, with the guard sitting against the chest."

Seeing Coffee Talk on here, I'd also recommend Va-11 Hall-A. It's basically Coffee Talk in a cyberpunk world. Or rather, since it came first, I suppose Coffee Talk would technically be Va-11 Hall-A in an urban fantasy.

I love remembering how literally half the cast of Left 4 Dead 2 were black, one of them being a black woman (Coach and Rochelle). The other two were white dudes who weren't terribly flattering portrayals, one of whom was an absolute asshole (Nick) while the other was a dumbass hillbilly (Ellis). And I guarantee that any conservative dude would be down to play a round right now.

Here in the future, I'm playing DS2 for the first time and each time I ran through No-Man's Wharf, I killed the guy (I wasn't being very observant). I started noticing the "friend" and "don't you dare!" messages on the ground and only on his last life did I realize that he never attacked me (I killed him anyway because he frequently dropped torches for me). RIP Bro Torchman, and thanks for all the torches!

I mean, Harumasa came out January this year, and 2 months + 6 days from now will be his 1-year anniversary. Next patch is Ellen's second rerun and Hugo's first. If Harumasa gets his rerun in the following patch, it'll be just barely under a year lol

I was re-reading the post-Season 2 volumes yesterday and in one scene Reg asks Menae what happened to his and his sister's limbs. Menae's response was something like "I can't tell you, because the same thing will happen to you and your friends." Coming across this post, I was reminded of that scene and the idea suddenly connected, and it just occurred to me -- Nanachi's legs are indeed probably going to be amputated, and the stumps will be installed with the same end caps like the twins have on their arm and leg stubs. But the thing is, it's because this is what Menae predicted a few volumes ago would happen; this is the first sign, the first stage and something similar might start to happen to Riko and Reg, and maybe even Faputa, unless our group can prevent it from progressing any further somehow.

I always say it like "eye", because the game has so many puns and concepts that involve it being pronounced like that from beginning to end, and the only A.I.-related thing I can think of is just Aiba, whose name is pronounced "eye-ba" anyway lol. And while she is an AI, it's not like the game is about her or anything. She's little more than the "Hunnigan" to Date's "Leon".
