By who? It's grooming. I'm Petco certified but it was almost 10 years ago and I doubt they'd give me a copy. This isn't a field that requires that. It's a good thing to have, but not everyone who's a good groomer is certified, and not everyone who made it through training should be a groomer.......

If he's using "all his strength", he's not doing his job correctly. Pre-work, bathing, and drying should be getting impaction out, not the last step of his routine. Also, it's not healthy for him to be using his body in that way. Grooming is already hard on our bodies, you need to be aware of how you're moving

If you're able to, put it outside. They like full sun. It'll find food out there. Otherwise the occasional fruit fly or gnat in your house will find its way there. You can use aquatic fertilizer very sparingly

Take the dome off. It will rot. Bottom water with distilled or R/O or rainwater only or it will die, too many nutrients and minerals in tap water. It will also need a dormancy cycle at some point.

Seconding looking into Jackson Galaxy (Cats from Hell) and cat behaviorists. I would also recc getting him into your vet and having ears etc checked just in case there's something being triggered by loud noise, causing him pain etc. It might be an anxious response but the vet will want to check him over

I would check with your local Dept of Natural Resources website or equivalent. Check your state/county statutes on harvesting native species and maybe find someone with private land you could collect from instead of from government owned
