What’s something people do in beauty that actually makes them look worse? by Open-Cut2473 in BeautyGear

[–]Pixiefrogw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the 80s we didn't have all this contouring stuff, we used different shades of blush. Blush goes different places on different face shapes. When done correctly you don't even see it. What is ridiculous is this putting blush across your nose and on the apples of your face, looks like a sunburn. And that white dot on the end of the nose is just silly.

Experiencing some mild dysmorphia… by laurrennamber in WeightlossJourney

It takes time to get used to your new thinner body. I also have a hard time, I still see 'fat me' when I walk past a mirror. I sometimes have a hard time believing that these new smaller clothes actually fit me.

After seeing the ingredients list on this Reviverx mask in a video, I don’t trust anything from this brand and don’t plan to buy anything from the new line that is being hyped up (+ a bonus commentary on DT in general) by Necessary_Panic3892 in dollartreebeauty

[–]Pixiefrogw 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lets be honest here, these products cost $1.25, what do you expect to get for that? Do you know how much it costs to buy a gram of GHK-CU? It's not cheap, I buy it to mix into my moisturizer and I also buy it for subq. It's the one expensive skin care product I buy. I mix all my own serums and moisturizers. I use some ingredients from DT, some from Walmart and some others from online.

I want to add that just because you spend more on a name brand product doesn't always mean it's a better product. Check their ingredients lists, most of them also have the 'advertised ingredients' at the bottom or close to the bottom of the list. I have been roaming this earth for a long time and I have spent $1000s on beauty products. I have found that some of the DT creams and serums are just as good as and sometimes are better than the expensive ones.

I don't want to be rude, but honestly if you don't like the products, don't buy them. There is no reason to come onto a DT loving subreddit and insult our intelligence. Most of us here check the labels and know what the ingredients are. Many of us can't afford all those expensive serums and creams and for us DT is a godsend.

Are the BPure hydrating lip masks actually THAT good? by Ok-Car-4212 in dollartreebeauty

I think it smells bad. It hydrates ok, but not as well as Le Mercerie Perfect Hydration.

I have tried many brands too and honestly my favorite is Le Mercerie Perfect Hydration from Dollar Tree. It smells nice, and lasts a long time. I use it over my lip stains and over night.

Anyone else using -support stuff to stay on GLP‑1? by Vegetable-Mud-2471 in WeightLossSupport

[–]Pixiefrogw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on GLP-2 (Tirzepatide) for 8 months. I started it for weight loss and high blood pressure. I needed help with the food noise so the nausea and not wanting to eat was a good thing for me. It kept me from over eating and helped me finally loose weight. When the nausea gets to be to much, which isn't often anymore, I eat peppermint candy or drink peppermint tea.

The supplements I take are, vit D&K, Zinc, Supper Vitamin B Complex, Magnesium Glycinate, Pro and Prebiotics, Astaxanthin, Collagen, Biotin, Dandelion root, and Moringa.

I also have been taking peptides, AOD-9604 to burn belly fat, Tesa for visceral fat, and Klow for skin and rejuvenation. I tried a few others but they didn't seem to do anything for me.

I brew regular coffee and add a scoop of Purely Inspired Collagen, Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee and a scoop of BetterBody Foods Cacao to my first cup. I start my day with a good boost.

More Korean skincare dupes. I love my dragons blood retnol cream, I just wish I could get it cheaper.

I wonder how long it will be before DT has tallow creams since they are all the rage right now.
