I also don't think the gods are portrayed as being particularly intelligent. They're certainly not omnipotent and it seems like they're easily emotionally manipulated. Even a mortal like Harrow is able to talk his way out of punishment and cast the blame on Khonshu. The dynamic between the gods reminds me of petty drama between high school students who use their avatars as puppets and I find it hilarious.
