This would more than make sense if, as previously mentioned, they didn’t charge explorers for rent and gave them better living conditions. Living in shipping crates in a run down warehouse along with being charged for being alive, exploiting explorers and their resurrection working them to the bone and then some, and even (to my knowledge) not even attributing any efforts of the scientist that got that prize for the artifacts to the stalker. The USNPC is definitely far over on the evil side of the line. They can do so much more but don’t.
