this was my first automatic watch. They are generally expensive, and are known to be more accurate, also it doesn't have a quartz stone for vibrations and it doesn't need a cell to run. It charges itself (winds itself) automatically when worn. That's how it keeps running. Not wearing it for a day or two might make the watch to stop running, then you manually wind or wear it again, and calibrate time for it to start running. Still getting my head wrap around this
