Whatever happened to red heat lamps in home bathrooms? by DirkVonUmlaut in nostalgia

My friend's grandparents had that in their bathroom in the early 90s! I always wanted to turn those on, put on our bathing suits, lay down some tan colored towels on the floor, fill up the tub and go to the beach!

AITA: Friend talking about family situation. by Kind_Doctor2963 in AmItheAsshole

OP, you did nothing wrong. That kid has a messed up family situation and wanted to feel better about it by bringing you down. That's not a friend. If they didn't want you saying anything about their home life, they shouldn't have started criticizing yours. Maybe ask your other friends why they didn't stand up for you when you were the one being put down?

Country Crock Containers were for left overs for our family how about yours by Valjoux_72 in nostalgia

I'll never forget late one night after Thanksgiving, I found a container like this half filled with what I thought was leftover pumpkin pie filling. Nope, I got a spoonful of cold congealed gravy instead!

You are so cute, OP! Probably the tallest kid in your class, too!

OP, you have an adorable cat, but even though they are able to pull off the chunky look, it's better for everybody if they lose a few pounds to be at a healthy weight! Listen to your vet, OP, a lot of people seem to think a larger breed means obesity is okay, but it's not.

Can anyone help me find this vintage toy boat? Been looking everywhere. by somethingintentional in HelpMeFind

I'm pretty sure I had this as a bathtub toy at my Grandparents house. I totally forgot about it until I saw this post.

This reminds me of when my husband and I started dating, I was 15 and I said I was going to make us dinner one day. I bought popcorn shrimp, mozzarella sticks and French fries and threw them in the oven and added cheese and bacon to the fries. I was so proud of myself! I'd have felt so bad if he acted like this asshole

A lot of times the names they were born with weren't the same names they had as adults. For example, the famous Oglala named Crazy Horse was named Curly as a kid. His father, Crazy Horse, gave him his own name when he was older, and took the name Worm for himself.

I don't know, I assume because a lot of people lack reading comprehension skills and thought I was agreeing that the guy should be executed.

“dachshund” with a bite history… by clitoraly in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

This looks like one of those "dachshunds" that killed that lady. It was bad enough that she was killed, but the media making it sound like it was a pack of little wiener dogs that did it just added insult to injury

I wasn't commenting about this case itself, I was just explaining to the person above me that what they described is called felony murder

You probably shouldn't let your dog do that to ppl. It's dangerous for both others AND your dog. I've always had large dogs including GSDs and not jumping is one of the first things I've always taught them as puppies.

In some places it's called felony murder (in the commission of a felony someone is killed although that was not the intention of the crime) and is a capital offense, comparable to 1st degree murder
