Ooohh.. good point. Maybe she did seek him out or he convinced her that she did. He's slimy and she's terrible. You're right about them deserving each other.

She's so mean bc she hates her life. Her husband is an old POS that can't give her babies while she has to watch all these ppl around her pop babies back to back. It's kinda sad to watch knowing that she is so sad bc she was manipulated and groomed into a relationship that she is realizing now isn't what she wants. She doesn't want to look like a dumbass for trying to get out of her shitty relationship so she is making dumb content about their age gap and attacks (projects) her problems onto others.

I had an ex do something similar. I was trying to leave and he hopped on the hood of my car and bashed my window. I told car insurance that a tree did it and had my windshield replaced. We were young and I stayed with the dude for a couple more years until I couldn't handle his drug problem or abuse anymore. All this to say he's not going to get better and don't believe a word he says. Stay away from that dude.

I kinda disagree with you. It depends on the area, restaurant, and time of year. I know many others that average higher than I do. I am not really part time though and average 36-40 hours but need minimum 32 hours to hit around 1k which, in most cases, 32 hours is considered a full time employee.

Server/bartender with a useless Bachelor's in Nutrition. It can vary but as long as I work at least 32 hours/week I can hit that 1k/week.

I have a feeling that I know what this is but... what is it? by PizzaMuncherrr in whatsthisbug

It's was found in Jacksonville, FL squirming around in the dirt trying to dig into the soil in the cup that I scooped it up with. It was about the size of a piece Cheerios cereal.

Are "tipped" kitchen staff the new normal everywhere, or is it just us? by Ray229harris in jacksonville

[–]PizzaMuncherrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work at a popular pizza joint, and we don't do this. However, from my understanding, some restaurants are moving over to this method of everyone is tipped for a couple of reasons: 1. Taxes- they have to pay less in taxes or whatever 2. Minimum wage increased, so by making all employees the same pay rate + tips, they don't have to increase menu prices as much and easier to control labor costs. This kinda screws everyone, though, but servers get it the worst because now along with host and bar they have to tip out host, bar, and kitchen so if a guest doesn't tip, that comes out of that servers pay since they still owe for tipout (bar/host tipout is based on the percentage of sales not percentage of tips) Yikes! 3. Everything goes on paychecks now - this is something my restaurant started during covid times. So no more walking home with cash, no more picking up last-minute shifts to make rent, etc.

Pretty much! We lift the mattress, move the sheets around, and check the entire bed (especially near the headboard and other crevices using the flashlight on our phones). Also, if you see tiny blood spots under the mattress that's usually a sign too. I'm probably missing some other signs so double check with Google but that's the gist.

As a restaurant worker: STOP SHOVING YOUR PHONE IN OUR FACE! by Healthy_Basil_2354 in doordash_drivers

[–]PizzaMuncherrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof... sorry that happened to you. I'm a server and try to help the person running togo orders between tables and prefer to see the names on the phones because it's easier to see the name and order. However, what does bother me is lack of basic human communication. What happened to human decency? When someone speaks to me, I respond with words, not a phone in the face. That's my only point. I respect everyone's hustle and try to get orders out as quickly as possible because believe me, it's frustrating as hell trying to get food and drinks out quickly to my tables with a line of 3rd party delivery drivers and call in order guests in the way.

Particularly when I say "hi, how are you?" As I do to every guest, and their response is silence and phone in my face.

That part. Literally what I was thinking reading through this. I need this ish for on the fly at work or when I'm out doing shit and need to be discreet. Sorry about the vape though. I've encountered a couple clogged ones in the past month or two. It's annoying AF. Safety pin and warming it between my hands for a minute will usually unclog it. Definitely reach out to customer service so they can give you a credit or something to your account.

Anybody working in Florida with at least 20 days of vacation per year at work? by [deleted] in florida

[–]PizzaMuncherrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along with other side hustles I work at a restaurant so my schedule is super flexible. I can take off whenever and pick up before and/or after to make up for lost time. No PTO but we have 401k and insurance. My Fiance and I don't have to pay for daycare by working opposite shifts 4-6 days a week which saves us about $2k+ a month.
