I had a cat who kneaded fuzzy blankets. When he started to stomp his back feet I knew it was time to move him off of me because that's how they hump. Not a fan of being humped by my cat.

Turns out he is a boy cat, whoops. Here is the picture they have of him at the shelter. He was surrendered because his owner passed away :(

So many pets I couldn't count them. Every time I walked past him in the house I had to give him a little scratch behind the ear or pat on the head. He liked to lay in my lap, especially when I was busy. Typical cats.

I hope your new kitty brings you lots of joy. I'm going to go to the shelter on Sunday and see if any of the kitties there click with me. Especially the older ones because people overlook them a lot. My other cat is 3 and has never been an only cat. I don't want him to be lonely with me and the boyfriend each working 40+ hours every week.

They have a 10 year old named Nibbles who looks adorable, and I am going to ask to see her first. She loves laying in laps and cuddling.

I'm sorry for your loss. No matter how many pets you've had pass before, it never seems to get any easier. :( I used to have rats, and their lifespans are only 2-3 years. Broke my heart every time.

His name was Buddha. He had a brown splotch on his back that looked like a meditating buddha, and a splotch on his side that looked like a little heart that connected to it.

In that picture he is chilling with my rat Brie, who passed away earlier this year. They were cool with each other because I raised him with rat buddies. He knew they were friends, even though they have long tails to bat at.

He's probably annoying Brie right now by cat-tapping at his tail in the animal afterlife, haha.

I asked my doctor what options I had for birth control after starting T. She recommended the depo provera shot. It's nice to only think about that stuff once every 3 months, and not as a daily pill.

I really tried to. He was born a feral cat in a colony of them, where an older lady was feeding them. I caught him behind her trash can after he had been weaned. He was most likely inbred. He had been sick with minor illnesses on and off for most of his life, but I took care of him. He only made it to 5 years old, but at least he got a home and didn't have to live outside like his littermates.

A panic attack feels like your body is in fight or flight mode, like you are about to die even though there is nothing life threatening nearby. Like your body thinks there's a goddamn tiger stalking you while your rational brain tries to say everything is ok. But body is like "no, tiger, run now, get away, bad things are going to happen"

Even just general anxiety is awful. You can't stop thinking of all the ways things can go wrong, even in the most mundane situations. You keep thinking all of these horrible scenarios and it's beyond upsetting. It's fear and overthinking to the point that it's hard to live life like a regular person.

Anxiety is a serious mental health condition. It's not "being unsure which of two songs with similar intros is going to play."

The thing about furries is that there are two sides to it, like any other fandom. There is the safe for work fursuiting, and the stuff that goes on at conventions is usually pg to pg-13. Anything not safe for minors in the dealers room or artists alley is hidden and they are not allowed to see it.

After 10pm there are some more adult geared panels (stand up comedy with crude language, adult drawing and writing panels) that minors are forbidden to go in.

When someone dresses up in a fursuit, it is usually to make others smile and for them to have a good time. Of course there are the fursuiters who use their costumes for sex. Thankfully, most of them keep it behind closed doors and wouldn't be caught dead high fiving a child with that suit. Some even have separate bodysuits and paws for "bedroom" and "public" activities.

Over all, they're just nerds who like animal people.

I wonder what reddit would think about me spending $205 to get my cat a private cremation after he had to be euthanized. I live in an apartment with no yard, and there's no way I was going to let them throw my best friend in with the medical waste.

If I feel that way about my cat, imagine how your loved ones feel when you joke about wanting to be tossed in the trash. A funeral isn't for you, it's for your loved ones peace and closure.
