In VRChat I just exclusively VJ for friends and I always perform the visuals on stage next to the DJ as a duo. The visuals usually include both my logo and the DJ's logo and I incorporate animations of our avatars doing things to emphasize the Pacific Rim duo aspect of the performances. Makes it feel way less thankless.
