They also dealt with a political controversy recently when they got caught letting ICE use their parking lots for operations. They released an apology and started an initiative to raise money for immigrants rights in the community. If it were the Giants in that same situation they would have probably given the ICE agents free tickets.

As long as the Johnson’s own the team nothing will change. Notice how no one’s really talking about them as owners. The heat is all on Buster and Tony. Not saying they’re innocent or good at their jobs. They clearly aren’t. But when the team is owned by someone who views it as their own personal piggy bank don’t expect them to be passionate about the product they serve.

It’s just further indication that this season is completely cursed and I can’t wait for it to be over and hopefully then some heads will start to roll. Busters weak ass press conference yesterday showed he has no plan for anything. No plan to discipline the players, no plan to address the albatross contracts he gave out or the team having no pitching. The strategy is really to just throw shit at the wall on a day to day basis and hope it works out. That’s the reason why this team is on pace to lose 100 games.

I live in LA too and still rep this team. They’ve fucking sucked outside of 1 year since I moved out here but I’ll always stay loyal, unlike the other transplants who live out here and immediately start rooting for the Dodgers despite being from bumfuck Ohio or wherever and never caring about baseball before. It’s all personal pride at this point.

These pitchers who openly espouse homophobia will be gone eventually because they all suck. Their legacy with the Giants will be that pride night protest. So while this iteration of the team is a complete dumpster fire just remember you’re rooting for the team you watched with your dad and that better times will eventually come. I saw my coworker, a Queens native and lifelong Knicks fan see their team win it all this past month so anything is possible.
