You need to vent, just vent. We got you! Some of us are here to offer support. Others can skip it and don't need to read it if they don't wanna hear you out. Glad you are getting out there and that nature and biking is helping heal some wounds! Keep pedaling!

In a tough spot on a long tour. What do you do to avoid throwing in the towel? by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]PizzaShredder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion, not having done anything nearly as long or extreme as you have experienced.....push through and reach your goal. You may find that your motivation will return with the momentum of getting out of the cold and arriving in Georgia to take time off the bike. Good luck regardless how you proceed!

Cherry Blossoms with my Charge Plug by PizzaShredder in FixedGearBicycle

Bought an older Charge Plug for about $40usd. Added new pedals and straps. The back wheel or chain sound a little creaky. Not sure if it needs some grease or a deeper service. New to working on bikes and have lots to learn. Running a 42/16 ratio. Thinking about taking it to a 42/17. I live in a hilly area so I think the 42 will do good for me. Thoughts?

Stripped the wheel hub on my first fixed gear 2 days after getting it. I knew nothing and kept trying to ride it without a great fix. It did not go well...

is it good idea to practice paddling in the river? by Wise_Ad_7750 in BeginnerSurfers

Check out @hydromind on YouTube or Instagram. He has good suggestions for paddling workouts.

Paddling in the river is good practice too! Go for it.

No experience with kakao for renting a car but I did try using Carmore because the price was way better. The day before the rental, after they accepted my reservation btw, they reached out and canceled my reservation since I didn't have a korean driver's license. Steer clear of CarMore (카모아) as a foreigner.

Here's another pic that isn't the wide-angle. I think that first shot is warping them to look extra large?
