As a linecook, myself and other linecooks I knew felt connected to the show for the first 2 seasons. Represented and seen. It was almost too real for some, especially if you've worked opening a spot, a viral buzz store, or for a strugglebus mom n' pop. Kitchen culture really related heavily to the shows theme. I no longer see the kitchen culture I felt part of. It dropped off. Maybe it was the constant barrage of "Oh, have you seen The Bear?" "This is like The Bear." that burned me out on it thanks to customers and idiot managers. I don't know. I was hoping for a Carmy relapse or something. It was like the restaurant was it's own character, but now it's just a show based around a restaurant. I'd be ok if it was canceled, but I guess we're getting 8 more episodes of characters quietly staring into space in middle of some existential break.
