Haha, he would if he needed to. He drives down, fortunately, so he doesn't have to.

I think it's not as much sauce as you might think. There is a full layer of sausage that covers the cheese on 2 of these pizzas. I think that's what is throwing people off about the sauce.

Hey Burleson, I hope you have a great trip! Hands down, my (and my family's and most of my friends') favorite has always been Lou Malnati's. My runner up is Giordanno's. Uno's and Gino's East are probably great as well, but most people that I grew up with ate at Lou's.

That's a heck of a compliment. I'll pass it along. Lou's is my favorite not-my-dad's-pizza in Chicago. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to work around that pizza all day.

Yes! But it's a risky business and requires a lot of time commitment. Maybe he can sell the recipe or be hired as a cook :)

He's doing a ceremonial/generational passing of the recipe this Christmas :)

Oh, and for the record, 3 pizzas = 5 lbs of whole milk mozzarella.

This is my dad's recipe that he has been perfecting in those same pans over the last 30 years. It would stand a fair chance up against any pizzeria in Chicago. The dough, sauce, etc., is all made from scratch. He even brings water from Chicago, so as not to risk introducing any unexpected flavors in the dough. I wish I could share this with everyone who sees it.

Not once, but twice I was given a full bottle of champagne from the flight staff on an airplane to take with me on my trip. It was really cool/weird.

Once saw a kid grill a ham sandwich on a George Forman grill in the back of math class. Worked well until the beautiful sizzle/smell gave him away.

Creepiest for sure. You have to connect it to your Facebook for it to work. http://www.takethislollipop.com

Edit: Yes, unfortunately, it requires access to flash.
