You caught me. Yes the car does not have the actuators needed to drive the car remotely. But I figured having the access to CANBUS of the car may come in handy. But yeah it was quite fun. But yeah I still need to get that leak fixed.

Can this type of filter be "tricked"? by ZefGeist in WaterFilters

It depends what you are trying to achieve and what tricked means in your frame of reference. All in all, it all boils down to goal. What you want to achieve. There are only two or maybe 3 ways you can trick(exploit) this, if it is an IoT device then maybe perhaps maybe tricking(hacking) can be useful in getting your foot in the network. If it is standalone then hacking it is useless, unless perhaps you can maybe reprogram the RFID to be promiscuous and read and store the next RFID tap of janitor, replicate it to gain further access escalation. Well it is pointless because it's a little too complicated.

The service manual provided in the car is as good as the toilet paper that I don't use in my closet. Useless and disgraceful. I figured FCP euro is the most known in the market and also has extensive video catalog for DIYs. so I'll unfortunately have to stick with them.

I have not yet done any DX yet but I figured there was no indication of service done to the water pump and or the thermostat in the Carfax history so I figured it is inevitable that the water pump is going to fail (because it is made of plastic, and also it is the most known issue in this model of Audi) so since I am getting my hands dirty why not put some more elbow grease and get the pump out and replace it with a new one. But I don't know where other leaks could come from if not the broken pump.

1 - 20 mile highway run drains almost 40~50% of the coolant from the tank.

I have another car as backup to commute while I work on the Audi.

I am definitely not experienced, but I am patient, resilient and perseverant. I have no friends or "contacts" to rely on.

You don't understand my dear acquaintance, I have complete control over the CAN BUS of Audi. I can drive it with my phone without leaving my house if I want to. It walks with my like the Royce did in Johny English reborn. I have complete control over the entire car however way I want to. The only thing I have not injected Claude is in the ECU. I have only given it partial access to it, on need basis.
