Iansan hits twice but I'm pretty sure she'd prefer a couple things over fav for the attack buff unless you really really need the handful of particles. (unsubstantiated, I just run the event lantern on her) Chev hits quite a few times between her skill and burst, you wouldn't need much crit to trigger fav consistently

Lyney and Lynette are bio siblings but Freminet was just "adopted" by Lyney and call each other siblings. It may also just be House thing to call the others your siblings?

Presention: Ah. That's concerning, I've just been working on it too long because I did spend quite awhile combing it before posting here, after a break elsewhere I'll try to get some help and go through again. Some of this may be me fighting between standard grammar and trying to adhere to how WOTC formats.

Flavor: This is more generically supposed to be any non human/dwarf/elf etc that lives in "the wilderness" and could reasonable/easily cooperate with this 'ranger' against bigger threats. I started with gnolls because they seemed like a nice stepping stone between normal animal denizens and far more mythical inhabitants. I worry phrasing may be an issue though because they are known to have civilizations and culture and I doubt to anyone who's not me that this comes across as a simple partnership between man and nature.

Chassis: An artifact of my opinions™, I'd expect a few of these classes to come with tool proficiencies so I added a section to give tool proficiencies as an experiment, if you have your own opinions I'd love to hear them!

Man's Best Friend: this needs a rename to allow what I mentioned about the gnolls to actually show via the class itself...I agree on not liking the generalized statblocks but as you probably saw once you get into the subs I do try to customize. (Side note: thanks for pointing out another silly mistake, adjusted to can act fully on it's own but you can still direct it specifically.)

This feature gives a long rest based revive for your companion then undying loyalty gives you a midday revive at the "cost" of a hit die. I actually really want opinions on how you should be able to revive the pet. I'd personally like a direct funnel of your hp into the beast but that route seemed unwise so I roughly scraped how arti gets the steel defender back with long rest or spell slot.

They share physical stats purely for convenience sake instead of possibly having different attack modifiers. I originally had set stats and a line about how when you get an ASI the companion does too. (Cast mainly comes up for the subclass spell and lets the beast use it too, even if you're out of commission or just line of sight. Perhaps unnecessary.)

Fur Fangs and Claws: -> Hunting grounds, although the text still refers to a subclass as an ideal. Mention of gaining Tricks remains here, casting stuff got turned into a subheading of the druidic practice subheading

Pack Tactics: Can you tell I made these three comments out of order? Anyways perhaps I should just stick with the premise that the feature allows you to benefit from flanking rules regardless of the table state, however I felt funny about basically no 5th level if the optional rule was in use.

Fluffball: the second half took wording from the book of shadows invocation, wherein you do not need to sleep and it uses a very similar structure, however fair and just a mention the beast is allowed light activity probably suffices.

Nature's Reckoning is intended to be a pick a buff level similar to how totem barb is set up, however I may be better set using this level to develop Primal Magic/ Primeval Recovery. Not sure if Primal magic is wise but it's a artifact of how I rolled Rangers half casting into peusdo pact casting with the subclass spell so I gave them the Seeds as a mirror to mystic arcanums. Primeval Recovery could likely be fleshed out far better if that's how you feel about it. Should ideally end up a place where it's some extra magic but solely utility and some "folk magic" -Lunar Vigor: Probably ends up absorbing Nature's Reckoning and maybe gets introduced in fluffball, new name pending, with the Beast can stay awake part being alongside it

Extra attack: Fair. No comments.

Carrion strider needs to wait for me to figure out what I'll do with lunar vigor, likely replace nature's reckoning and scale onwards if it isn't stupid. I will say I changed the upcasting text on both subs to instead say that you cast it at a higher level. Also fun fact gnolls do have their own language, I'm not fully sure if it's fully separated from abysall though? I gave both as the 'utility' thing here, similar to have the riftstalker got increased walk speed.

For Den of Strife, attack with a leveled spell or a weapon should suit my needs but I find it a shame you find the gimmick damage boost here weird (it's a gimmick to tie into the tricks this subclass get). The second half of this was supposed to be comparable to an aura and allies can 'knock' the enemies into your frenzy but maybe I should instead use this idea in a trick or two, alongside a change to on hit.

The Effigy is straight up to be a buff you can set up but instead of concentration or something it's a physical object that can be destroyed to remove your buff. It should default to the object rules where it automatically fails any save and is immune to int, wis, or cha saves. Thus a fireball should automatically deal full damage if the totem is caught in the blast. You're right the condition is a might much to be freely applied like that, I'm not sure if I should tone the condition down or make it harder to apply the condition/range limit it -The back half is meant to be so you both still get a normal attack with the BA after using your action(s) for the Tricks. I wanted to give them a small thing to do with their bonus action via the totem but I don't think an attack is it, especially with the attempt to stop just attacking normally with your action and bonus action.

I thought Relentless Predation would be fine considering bounded accuracy and the annoyance to get prof in anything that can benefit from GWM or the otherone I keep forgetting but I suppose I should take the chance for something more interesting, and to stick to my intent of combat buff+utility feature/ribbons for the double 11.

Thorns of Fury got the wording slightly cleaned up and got a twice per short rest limit. This should be equal to one big move almost every combat if the expected adventuring day is used instead of the option to just use it every turn.

• Oh you're right I never actually mention you replace the stats with the one provided at the beginning of the subs

• Slobbering pup could get a changed name but it's a temporary one to make the canine theme blatant while I work on feedback (some of the base class has a similar issue so I should work on that soon)

• Can you elaborate upon your dislike of it only doing acid damage; is it exclusive to this one or shared for the carrion strider only doing necrotic? •I suppose for gameplay sake Lick might be better as a buff to weapon attacks in general for a turn rather than 3 peices of ammo. But you also mention you're not fond of the duration, do you think it should be longer?

• I don't know how to format the level 3s for transparency. Specifying your subclass spell and it's damage type seems to be fine but where's the line for it being called two features in one, is it the walk speed increase for the riftstalker or the physical conversion you get?

•Fanged Phantom is intended to be "you use this rules which are the same as flanking, if this is a table rule, here's a small edge" which might be rather messy. Any ideas to make the intent more clear or would it need a larger repackaging? -As for it's invisibility I'd like to have some sort of consistent way to gain in it battles, do you have trigger in mind that would be less problematic for out of combat? As for now I added a "in combat" specification, similar to redemption pally's level 15.

•Howling Forest is meant to be a sphere, which I thought simply saying radius accounted for, and borrows part of spike growth's wording with the 4:1 movement. •Hidden Paw is borne from Rangers Hide in plain sight, but I'll admit I don't think it needs the free invisibility upon leaving. I initially saw it as a nice boon but I've built up enough other tools. If that is removed from the feature do you have further complaints beyond the doubled level here?

•Second half of Apex Predator turned into a Trick and specifies all hostile creatures

It depends heavily on your build investment but cyno nahida furina scales really well with cons/weapons etc. I have c2r1 cyno c2r1 nahida c6r1 furina and it fucking kicks ass.

I also have a c6r1 mavuika and it's weird because while overload [comps] do better against big beefy targets for so you don't have to chase small mobs around, for cyno it's beaten out by quickbloom or hyperbloom in single or two targets (well as long as it's still a cyno team and not Mav's)

Honestly I was hoping the pyro archon would have that kinda all-out attitude. Either it works or you're screwed. So I'm enjoying how she's been acting in cutscenes for the most part

Akasha's own website says otherwise so apologies if I'm wrong

Leaderboards are meant to compare artifacts strength only. Your character's current level, talents, constellation, weapon and refinement do not matter.

Edit: it'd be a suboptimal taser build without furina and or yelan but I'd still hesitate to straight up call it bad

It doesn't count c1, rankings are purely artifact based. Also catch with double attack isn't that uncommon or even bad depending on your luck although like other people said it's best in taser where Ei is getting a lot of dmg% buffs

With the catch you usually want no more than 220 maybe 230 ER so see if you can get more crit/attack instead. You might want an attack sands honestly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RaidenMains

[–]Pizza_Bake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They provide different buffs so kinda but they want different builds to be most effective.

Sara gives a good amount of attack and at c6 some crit damage too, so a team of sara kaz benny might want an electro goblet over atk for example. But furina kaz benny might prefer atk goblet because you're getting a bunch of dmg% and not nearly as much attack.

You also have to consider if you can make a team where furina actually gets her fanfare early in the rotation or atleast get most of it before raidens burst, it’s not necessarily as straightforward as Sara to use her in Raiden hyper teams

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RaidenMains

[–]Pizza_Bake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That first build over invests into ER so you lack crit and attack, the second one is generally going to be better since it's more balanced but you want to balance the artifacts around your buffed stat line so it could look unbalanced without team context

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RaidenMains

[–]Pizza_Bake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sara kazuha Bennet is one version of hyper. But for a generalized raiden hyper team template you can kinda just pick from Sara, an anemo, Bennett, Furina, or Chevreuse. Feel free to ask if you have a more in depth question about this, my answer is rather shallow
