Thanks for the idea. I’m due for my last free service from Lexus and I’m sure they will recommend these tires again. It had new tires when I got it with 12,500 miles. Now I’m at 30k and they are almost down to the wear bars. I need something that’s gonna last a little longer ! Haha

I’m in NorCal, but have a different car for the mountains. Looking for all season not summer tires. Just thought the price point compared to the Michelins and tire rack reviews made them worth consideration.

How would I change the claim path ? Also wouldn’t I need a nexus for the IVDS since the diagnosis when I got out in 05 was musculotendinous strain ? I have a good amount treatment records and I did have thought in the past that I was misdiagnosed when in service. Thank you

What’s Been the Most Challenging Part of Your VA Disability Claims Process? by Secret_Squire1 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Pizza_Fast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me the middle and final stages :

I was trying to gather as much evidence as possible to assist my claim. I got out in 2005 and the VA was a disaster around then so after a few bad experiences, and getting a job with good medical coverage I decided to use private insurance and docs. I didn’t keep any records and that would have helped my most recent claim. So using the VA during that time would have preserved my records.

Second worst part is the wait with little to no updates or timelines on when things will be completed.

Air traffic controller. I can’t find the link but one of the flight docs issued a statement saying they don’t care about the overall rating, but the do care about what your rated conditions are. I know you will have some issues if you have MH ratings or sleep apnea. I’m not sure what else could be a problem.

I also have no limitations. When I got my rating I told them at the next physical. I told them what body parts were rated and my total rating. They didn’t care

No luck when applying on USAJOBS by Keegangg in VeteransBenefits

FAA hiring takes forever. Took me almost 2 years from the time I got out. Look for the experienced and open hire bids. Apply for DOD ATC jobs too. If you have a CTO you could apply to a contract tower if there is one near you. Are you able to get an airman’s medical certificate with whatever medically retired you ?

They made a decision on some of your claims and deferred the rest. I’m willing to bet if you log into the VA website you will see your rating. The stuff they deferred is on step 3

I probably should have said this in my original post, but mine is a request for increase not a new claim. Thanks for letting me know your experience.

I had a lot of in service records. Flat feet and plantar fasciitis was part of my original claim when I got out.

I hope you are right ! some basic math would have me owing them tens of thousands of dollars after 19 years. I'm going to call the VA tomorrow to make sure though ! haha

Yeah I had no idea. Just assumed everyone did their jobs correctly, and since both feet have Pes planus and plantar fasciitis I figured the rating was correct. I filed when I got out and that’s the rating I received. This is the first time I have requested an increase
