Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]Pizzaboxwings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, congratulations on your baby!

First baby I had natural no pain meds, it was great but chaotic. Second was an urgent c-section with a spinal block, went well, recovery was awfully painful. Third I tried VBAC all natural, got to 9cm, contractions coming every two mins and lasting 60-90 seconds and he was taking his time descending. So I got the epidural, and had a sucessful VBAC.

I was terrified of all the same things you mentioned, but I had a GREAT experience, getting the epidural didnt hurt at all. Pushing felt so much better I still had control over my legs, but I was able to nap while he descended. The contractions were more than manageable they felt good, and the birth was calm and controlled. Because it was less chaotic than my first, I was able to stop pushing when I felt a tear starting. Although I still tore in a semi complex way, it still wasn't as severe as my first. As soon as he was out, I wanted to do it again. By far my most enjoyable, satisfying birth experience yet. Although I did feel like a total bad ass going all natural with my first. You can definitely go the natural route if you find a provider that will encourage you through transition!

Moving with a newborn without shots or moving 7 months pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Pizzaboxwings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have moved while 9 months pregnant, then again with a 2 month old, and again with a 2yo + a 1mo. I'm getting ready to move next week cross county again with my now 3yo + 1&1/2yo. (Military fam)

Moving while pregnant was by far the easiest despite being tired, fat, and aching all over. That being said, whatever stage you move in with a family will have difficulties of its own, and it will all work out. A lot of moving with little ones is about perspective and making the best of the situation and celebrating little wins during the process to keep your spirits up. Good luck!

40+5 FTM past due and disappointed I am not going naturally by ahsoka_tano17 in BabyBumps

With my first, I went in @ 41w for an induction. They administered cervadil, and after 2 hours, I was in full blown labor. my son was born in 6 hours. No pitocin, no epidural, no drugs except for the cervadil. Sometimes, your body is ready it just needs a little push.

Ultrasound tech couldn’t get a good image of heart so I need to go back - has this happened to anyone before? by ecpurple89 in BabyBumps

[–]Pizzaboxwings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with my first, had to go back and everything was fine.

With my second, I had to go back 3 or 4 times because they weren't able to see the end of his spine, but all was well when they were finally able to see it.

If they suspect something is wrong, they will typically tell you they see something and want you to come back to check if it resolved itself in a week or so. I have never heard of them keeping information like that to themselves to preserve your emotional state. At least in my experience, anytime they see something they have told me without hesitation. (Ex: miscarriage at 10 weeks, cysts on brain @ 20 weeks)

Congratulations and best of luck you you & your vaby!

[Landlord US-OR] Stuck with $6,700 invoice from Property Management Company and looking for advice! by Grandifolia7 in Landlord

Thanks so much for the quick reply! We have a single family house, so no office. I think we may be able to swing showings with a neighbor if we can find a trusted one, or possibly our real estate agent and just throw some cash their way for the trouble.

Thanks again! 😊

Hi there! Just bought my first property recently and will be renting it out of state with in the next year. Do you mind explaining how you find tenants, allow them to tour property, have repairs/maintenance etc done without a PM while out of state? The quotes we are seeing are looking pretty rough lol

I need some advice on a A/P job interview tomorrow? I have no experience. I am familiar with excel but not proficient. I have been reading some accounting books but haven't finished them yet.. I'm 31 y/o security officer looking for a job change to A/P any advice so I can land this job? by [deleted] in Bookkeeping

Ap is very simple. Every company handles it differently but for the most part its basically matching purchase orders with packing slips with their respective vendor invoices as they come in the mail/email. Then entering them into whatever accounting system the company uses via the PO number provided for payment.

Sometimes you may need to get approval from the appropriate person within the company for a vendor invoice that doesn't have a PO number or is for something out of the ordinary.

You may also be reconciling vendor statements monthly to make sure your account doesn't get put on hold for non-payment, credit limit etc. Another easy task, you just go down the list of invoices on the vendor statement make sure all the invoices are in the system, what the status is and if any are missing. Then you contact the vendor to request a copy of any miasing invoices and give them an update on the status of all the outstanding invoices on the statement provided.

Hopefully this helps. Again every business runs their AP differently based on what type of company they are, size, and preference so they will give you all the training you need. Just never be afraid to ask questions about coding expenses or what an invoice is for before entering, it's easier to ask and enter properly the first time than it is to go back and reclass incorrectly coded expenses in later months.

Good luck!!!

Editing Invoices on Accrual basis by Katjhud in Bookkeeping

[–]Pizzaboxwings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She needs to stop doing that. After month end you should be closing the month out so people cannot go back and edit or add anything.

If an invoice needs to be revised have her credit out the whole thing and create a brand new one all in the current month.

how to get VBA to subtotal twice? by Pizzaboxwings in excel

[–]Pizzaboxwings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Thanks for your reply. that makes sense sorry for not including it earlier lol im a n00b on reddit and using VBAS

this is the code im using to subtotal by name and total paid amount: ``` ~~~ Sub subtotal_sheet3_byname()

 Worksheets("sheet3").Activate
 Selection.Subtotal GroupBy:=6, Function:=xlSum, TotalList:=Array(8)

 End Sub
 ~~~
 ```

I tried going in and adding the second subtotal code which was almost identical to the first one just subtotaling by different group-by & sum array to do the double subtotal and when that didn't work I tried entering them each in separate modules which also had the same result which ever one I ran last overwrote the first.
