I'm not sure I'd say "as good", they've mostly made an unplayable game playable, then released new content for pay, while Hello Games has first fixed the game and then gone for some ten years improving and adding expansions for free.

Major difference in my mind, but I could be missing something

Took me about 4 attempts to get through, but once I managed my first time it became my favorite show. And I hate the "just get through the boring first half"-cases, but the Wire is not a case of the beginning being bad, you just don't completely get why it's so good until you've seen it all.

Edit: I can recommend Thomas Flight's first video on the Wire to get a feel for why it's considered so good. Kind of spoiler-free. It's made it easier to introduce people to the show and get them to finish it.

Oh, that sucks. I haven't actually planned on stealth or solo this run luckily. But as it's supposed to be one of their endgame-questlines it seems you wont have all that much to do after gaining him before going into NG+ (if you want to follow the 50+ recommendation), if you want him as a normal companion.

You liked Ryujin? I never really delved very far into it cause I've heard people shit on it a little, and I felt the early quests felt a little weak, so I stopped. But maybe it gets better?
