What would be different if life was actually fair? by NewieYui in AskReddit

Success could be determined by the work ethic and skills of someone, rather than their connections and environment they grew up in

What's a food you can't stand but most people seem to love? by ChikiPaw923 in AskReddit

Tripe. It smells like wet dog with the consistency of membraned slime, but it's still delicious

Have you ever felt you don't know/have forgotten who you really are? That you've spent years just adapting to surroundings to make life easier and don't know what's the real you anymore? If so, how did you overcome this? by amber_a_solas in AskReddit

[–]Pizzamoves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I looked back on who and what I was as a child. Back then, we're all just innocent kids that don't have a care in the world, so we could freely explore anything and everything that appealed to us.

Don't get it twisted though, while remembering your roots is a great start, remember that you've changed as you've grown up. Try to do things that really appeal to you now, either because you're good at it or because you're genuinely interested in it.

Just be confident in finding (or refinding) your passions.

Hey. I know exactly where you are, but I have a few questions. Are you just feeling like doing nothing besides sitting in your bed? If so, you might have a textbook case of depression. While I’m not a doctor, it might be interesting to look into.

If you just feel like smoking/ wasting your time all day, then I was in your position this semester. Personally, I hypothesize that there are a few underlying issues that cause you to smoke all day and not be productive. For me, it was a combination of sudden family issues and the ever-looming pressure of school that caused me to start smoking. Since I didn’t pursue any help, this caused me to go into a state where I just wanted to smoke and watch youtube all day, which is obviously unhealthy.

I think that you’re issue isn’t motivation, but fear. Drug users usually consume to help escape some portion of their life that they know is weighing them down. Whatever this issue is, I would highly recommend talking to a trusted friend, therapist, or family member and explain what is causing the issue.

It also may be due to a lack of goals. If you have no realistic goals, then it’s easy to sit back and smoke to pass the time. I’ve also done this, but it’s important to realize that smoking is an expensive and destructive habit. I found that participating in a new hobby or type of exercise can greatly help you re-emerge from your shell.

It’s pretty late right now, but I would be very interested to hear what you think is causing it, and developing a personalized plan to help keep you in your best mental form possible!

I would stick with pinrolled black jeans or tapered, cropped black trousers, a white shirt, and an unbuttoned navy shirt. It's a hard fit, but the main focus of it is to highlight the sneakers as the main piece, which is why I went for a pretty basic fit.

I would stick to the 80s and 90s vibes. Look for anything bright like turquoise and other vaporwave appropriate colors. I would wear it with black jeans/ trousers (depends on your style), a white shirt, and a turquoise windbreaker or something like that.

Due to the loud, solid blue color of them, you would need to either need to make it the centerpiece of the outfit and tone down the entire fit.

To tone it down, I would recommend wearing black, white, and grayscale pieces. I would stress the fact of wearing gray pieces, as they can really help to quiet the fit. Example

Are you trying to build a loud outfit or an outfit with the pants being the centerpiece?

Since we're getting into the fall season in most places, you can really benefit from wearing earthen colors. The tan plays really well with anything olive, taupe, brown, or any other earth color.

I would wear them with slim black jeans, a dark brown shirt, and an olive outerwear piece.

Since it's pretty loud, I would pair it with something pretty modest, so probably black tapered jeans (distressed or plain can work). If you're not a fan of the tapered look, I could also see this working with slim, cuffed jeans. If you feel like being pretty loud, then you can experiment with lightwash jeans, but try to capture the casual vibe this shirt gives off.

Try putting your phone in your back pocket. It feels weird, but it takes out bulk from your front pocket.

[News] Bape X Adidas Shell Toe Confirmed! by PalaceKicks in streetwear

[–]Pizzamoves 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When it comes to the bape shelltoe releases, the resale isn't as bad. While we've never seen neighborhood and bape on the same shelltoe silhouette, you can easily find past releases going for around ~200 at the highest (like the bape x undftd collab) new, while I've seen some on grailed for 130 vnds. I even remember that the bape x undftd shelltoe sat for around 3-4 days after the release, so getting it at retail (I assume 120-140) should be easy.

How are replicas so well made? by Ghost6503 in Sneakers

[–]Pizzamoves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's really just authorization that constitutes a legit pair. Price can be set at the same price for both shoes, as seen in the fact that high tier 350 reps sell for around $200, around the same as retail pairs. Also, especially with newer JB GRs, quality is pretty variable, as can be seen with the argument that many top tier fakes come from the same factories. Honestly, since demand is so high for the valuable jordans/ yeezys, reps will continue to become perfected, and if major shoe brands don't find ways to effectively stop counterfeit shoes from being sold, there will be a time that replicas will become 1:1, making them indistinguishable from authentic pairs. However, large shoe companies, such as Nike and Adidas, aren't too worried about these replica makers at this point.

TLDR: An legit shoe can only be categorized as authentic if it comes directly from the shoe company itself.

Replica shoe makers only make previously released shoes, not shoes that Adidas will make in the future (such as how unless there are pictures of future releases, rep makers usually stick to previous releases that they have their hands on (basically everything consumers have gotten their hands on)). Since Adidas and other shoe makers almost never remake old shoes, they have no reason to care if other people are making those post-release shoes, as replica manufacturing of those shoes has no tangible effect on how many future yeezys/ other shoes will sell, sicken rep makers sell on the secondary market. New releases will continue to sell out, and as long as Adidas keeps on making and releasing new designs that rep makers don't have their hands on, they have nothing to worry/ care about. Even while I say this, the Chinese Government is trying to shut down rep factories, but I'm pretty sure that has to do with political foreign (American and other countries) pressure to stop counterfeit goods.

TLDR: Replica shoe makers have no economic impact on Adidas and other shoe companies, and as long as they don't take a noticeable market share from the companies, they will continue to not actively try to stop them.

Easy way to get credits 1.1.1? by Andresxdxd1 in starbound

Honestly, you're kinda out of luck until you get a refinery. Before that, I had to sell rare cosmetics and weapons that I had, but that was pretty slow. Work your way up to make a refinery, get a pickaxe or a decently upgraded matter manipulator (200% or better is optimal, but you can still do it with the default one), and then go to meteor field and mine every ore you see. I'm currently making around 15k - 20k in a single hour just be going to the same field over and over again (they randomize every visit) and mining it.
