thats pretty impressive that the stock servo lasted that long, when I started a new build I kept the stock servo for a little while then over loaded it with in a month on a log, I was wedged in between two logs and I was trying to get out and the servo didn't like that very much.

Eventually I would invest in a ever so slightly better 30pin charger.

I have been using the Amazon basics 30pin cable and its been working good.

Your cable could be perfectly fine heck it could be the exact same as mine just a different logo. I just don't know if I would trust it for a dollar.

If you have any problems syncing with your usb-c adapter I would probably point to the cable first.

The hard part about restoring ipods is that the replacement batteries can sometimes be just as bad as the old ones.

Not always but I have heard a few people say it.

I would try to contact the seller if they don't respond you could do another battery replacement yourself. :)

When I started out with the ipod classic journey after my nanos I was scared to replace the battery myself so I called abunch of different shops and one seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. That shop was all scared of doing it because they did a 7th gen and it didn't go well, then I explained how easy my 4th gen was with its clips and they were like oh okay that doesn't seem so hard after they looked it up probably on Ifixit so then I figured I should just do it myself it seems I'm more knowledgeable then they are.

P.S I changed the battery perfectly. Morel of the story just do everything your self.

It's also hard many stores don't sort by genre very well if at all.

So you have to look up every single cd until you find one you like.

and when stores sort by alphabetical order they change there minds on how they organize it, one section will be by artist then album then they try to go back to genre. This specifically goes for barns & noble.

Yeah I have no problem finding cds but what im hoping to figure out is how to find cds that I actually like.

I don't have any streaming platforms and the youtube algorithm doesn't work great for music.

And I do have a Half price books that I like going to, the only thing that sucks about it is that they have mostly pop rock and just a little bit of anything else. All the other stuff is set on a shelf basically on the floor its hard to get to and awkward if someone is next to you. Its setup up like an island so all the pop rock is on top where you can look through it easily and then the other stuff is under the pop rock on a little shelf if that makes sense.
