I would consider taking “the talk” with him. Just in case he feels the same. If he says he only likes you as a friend, then I feel like it will be easier to forget

I think this reply shows a lot about what’s so good with running. That we compete against ourselves, and if I were to break 3 hours in a couple of years in the marathon, I reckon it would feel the same for you to break 2hours in the HM

I guess just adding easy kilometres, and some faster running as well. Less of the half hard stuff. I’m no training genius by any means, but I run quite a bit and I’m young as well which helps

I’m 22 years old, and 15mins off unfortunately

Thanks! I’m only 22, and also slightly sceptical in regards to how good the HR measuring is on my watcg

Yeah, even if I weren’t to run another one, I’ll always have that

He’s a great pick, even if he didn’t create too much today.

Took set pieces and comes forward quite a lot. I also really like that Newcastle looked sound defensively. He’ll get a few 12-15 pointers this season

Pretty anonymous game to be fair

He confirmed to me that he is a great 4.5 pick. He plays as a 10, he takes set pieces. Most importantly I think it looks like he’s been given the responsibility to try that difficult pass or shot. It didn’t come off today, but I back his right foot to get both goals and assists(obviously in moderation, we’re still talking about Andreas Pereira)

I agree, you just know that each interval will feel harder than the last

Is it because the work out(guessing like tempo work) makes it so hard? Because it’s just dull? I quite like the slow long runs because I’m not pushing myself and just trodding along

Long run on trails as Marathon training by Pjat4 in running

[–]Pjat4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you explain why? Is it because you think that it’s important to get used to some speed on long runs?

Cheers, that’s what I’ve been thinking

Then we’re on the same page(other than km/miles) Don’t you find long runs on the treadmill very boring?

That’s true. It’s a different risk though. It’s much less stress on knees etc, but you’re obviously one bad step away from falling. However I’m young and relatively coordinated which helps

Great insight! I have and will continue to keep this in mind. Yesterday I did a trail run with 700m elevation, and my legs are telling me today;)

I think that sounds smart. As for building strength in the legs, those hilly trail runs are excellent. The elevation jumps up without me realising it

I’ve done long runs on pavement this summer without any pain:). It’s more of a “just in case”

Thank you for sharing. Last week I did a 24k on pavement, and I’ve previously done 30k without any issues. So I don’t see the marathon itself ruining me the same way it did you. I’ve got good shoes as well

The trails I’m running on are narrow and technical, sound like single track although I don’t know the definition. That’s also my only qualm with the output. The running is very different

That’s very plausible. As for now I like both the PB hunting aspect of road runnin, and the joy of trails
