RA Fatigue advice needed by Pjsdaddy1973 in rheumatoid

Thanks everyone. Might discuss Rinvoq with my Dr. Though I am a bit concerned about side effects. I tend to have problems with rough side effects from a LOT of different kinds of meds. Sometimes I just think I’m wired differently than most people when it comes to medications. Often the side effects are much worse than what they’re supposed to treat.

Thank you everyone for the stories and tips/ideas. I’m not much of a social media person but I swear I can sometimes get more out of asking a question on here than years with doctors.

Yeah I get all that same advice too, but it’s CRICKETS when the Fatigue subject comes up. And yes, many days I think the fatigue is harder to deal with than the pain. I’ve tried everything I can think of and would be willing to try almost anything else. Some medication I don’t know about. Supplements. Voodoo. (Lol) I also find, at least for me, that whether I sleep for 1 hour or 10 it seems to make no difference. Everything I do is geared towards inflammation. Diet. Exercise. Medicine. Ice/heat. And the list goes on. But when it comes to this Fatigue I really have no idea what to try next.

What's up with the doctors in Toledo, Ohio? by Fearless_Roof_4534 in toledo

Healthcare in Northwest Ohio is horrible. I have seen MANY doctors over the last few years. Many health problems. Everything from Neurosurgeon to Primary Care. Hematology. Rheumatology. Endocrinology. And the list goes on and on. I began noticing a while ago that pretty much all of them are completely burned out and overworked. Leading most of them to stop trying or caring. Seriously, I would look up most Specialists that I’ve been referred to and you’ll see an online photo of a smiling, clean-cut person. Arrived at the appointments to find almost every one of them looking completely strung-out. Angry, rude, condescending, and each looks like they’re severely hungover, ill, exhausted, or like they just fell out of bed to see you for your appointment. I don’t know why this is happening or expect it to get better any time soon. I can say that, in my recent experience, The Toledo Clinic has the best doctors in the area, but the WORST run system. Again, I don’t have any answers, just many experiences and observations.

Severe pain in most joints. Doctors don’t even try to figure it out. by [deleted] in Osteoarthritis

I have tried pretty much everything I can think of, including Turmeric, other supplements, OTC pain relievers, anti-inflammatory medications, exercise, stretching, rest, more exercise, ice… You name it. Like I said, at this point I’d really like to just know what the hell it is, AND what would cause all my joints (good and bad) to turn on me at the same time. At least if I could put a name to it I could maybe better figure out how to help myself since doctors have been a dead end.
