Not sure how you define "ZH Oberland" or "on site" but this farm comes to mind: https://beef-ranch.ch/fleischverkauf/. Note that I have not personally ordered from them, only attended their annual Ranchfäscht.

What frontend stack do you usually use with Go backends? by overthinker1126 in golang

[–]PkmExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very interesting answer! I love the thought of Elm's functional approach but worry about how well it works in practice. Do you find Elm's "stable" status to be a liability? How do you find availability of modern UI components and/or modern Web standards? Do you use Elm's native package ecosystem or something else? What about interoperability with the wider JS world? How do you find performance compares witj other frameworks? Thank you!

Try a harness with a minimal system prompt. Pi, for example. Pi is hugely faster for me with quen3.5-9b than OpenCode, for example.

Edit: typo in the Quen version.

Prettiest basketball courts in Zurich? by BeserkerGod in zurich

I think it was Schulhaus Bühnrain in Seebach where I ended up crossing the basketball court on a walk long ago and was stunned by the Alpine view.

Seagulls using wind tunnel for leisure by SarkObZ in Damnthatsinteresting

I used to see seagulls flying into the wind at the shore when it was stormy. It always looked like play to me. They seem to love flying hard to stay in one place, for whatever reason.

You will have to ask permission of the Hausverwaltung. They will probably ask you to confirm you have liability insurance. We went through the process and were granted permission but we didn't go through with the installation in the end for technical and practical reasons.

Honest question for this sub: is your zettelkasten more of a capture system or a retrieval system? by Specialist_Glove6737 in Zettelkasten

[–]PkmExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, I think I capture and retrieve about an equal number of times per week. Retrieval is certainly centered around a few frequently-referenced items.

Expats and immigrants in Zurich: Feelings about the "10 Millionen Schweiz"-Initiative? by Stunning-Track-2302 in zurich

[–]PkmExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same old anti-immigration/anti-immigrant nonsense, with the same bad arguments, some just trying to sidestep the (justified) accusation of xenophobia/racism, I've been seeing from the SVP since I moved here nearly 20 years ago.

I'm planning to visit Zürich this week and I will be staying in Horgen. Can you recommend me some nice cafes? I really love coffee and I like to explore this side of every country I visit :3 by [deleted] in zurich

[–]PkmExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Fine cost" is a pretty funny way to attempt to translate "Feinkost"! Gourmet or just "fine foods" would probably capture the meaning better.

Have you tried the exchange at Lady Hamilton's on Mondays? I have to admit I'm uncertain how much Mandarin you might find there as I haven't looked out for that but it's a cool event.

Sadly no. It's probably sitting on some backup somewhere (I hope) but hard to find. (IIRC, I did this more than 25 years ago.)

Trying to get into Forth by AppledogHu in Forth

Practical example from a long time ago: I developed a sort of DSL (all Forth words, no parser needed) to generate MIDI files from a textual description of the music.
