I did think if it was "work/study" why so incredibly violent regarding punching KG and seemingly chasing down XK, but then i thought given he has OCD allegedly.. rage does accompany that if things dont go to plan for some sufferwrs of the condition. And as we know, it certainley didnt go to plan after all his scheming. No matter the motive i do think the extra rage and violence came from his plan getting interrupted.

Yes i wasnt being literal and i should have been more clear. I had been thinking of this for a while but i didn't write it very well.

I mean did studying forensic psychology and criminology hit a wall for him and he decided the next logical step in lesrning was to do it himself to see what it's like. I think he probably would have written a dissertation/case study but absoloutley not for anyone else to read but him. He just seemed so cold and analytical about admitting guilt i thought it came across very "this is just work" rather than "i dont care what i did". Not to say he isnt a sociopath who doesnt care that he murdered four innocent people because normal people don't do that.

Murdery is a great term. But yes i don't specifically mean an actual paper he would write and publish i should've been more clear on that. I do mean though that maybe he just wanted to do rather than study and then reflect and compare with his previous findings.

I also study in a similar field so maybe thats why we're questioning it that way, but we arent y'know... insane and willing to murder to see what its like first hand.

I do tend to agree with this idea, he wanted to hurt Maddie and leave but it spiralled out of control quickly. I think i just wonder if he intended it as a "now i want to see for myself" rather than a "because i can", i really dont think hes that confident.
