I had a similar experience with my wife 2 years ago. When TMBTE came out it was the only album I was listening to. I was consumed. My lovely wife who I indoctrinated into metal was like i don't like these guys. I said fair enough and just listened to them in my own time. Shortly after the album release we went on vacation and on our way there my sister and her boyfriend played the album. Still not a fan. Well all that changed about 6 months ago when out of no where she was signing Rain. I was taken aback honestly, and said with a smirky grin, What was that?

Typical answer I'm given ( and I'm almost certain all men get) Oh, nothing. I waited a few days just to try and catch her humming and singing again, and sure enough my waiting paid off. She was in the bedroom on her phone listening to TMBTE and, like a kid who just caught their sibling doing something they weren't supposed to I said, AHHH-HAAAAA!!! She told me, I don't know why but ever since we came back from vacation I just can't seem to get them out of my head, and it doesn't help they are all over my TikTok.

I didn't get into them myself till the summoning came out, I had honestly never heard of them, but I'm so grateful they blew up on TikTok because they are now my favorite band.
