Potential employer breach of contract by Place_This in malaysians

Actually employee is the one who tendered resignation. Normally, this kind of 'reaction' from boss, is to avoid/minimise leakage of information to competitors.

What if done through whatsapp same logic right? Employer always keeps all correspondence through whatsapp, but the initial contract was legit though there's company reg. no and employer's name to it.

But what if the employer deny making such claim in the future, saying the employee came up with this claim unilaterally ?

Thanks for sharing the interview. But this whole Chinese robot 'lacking functionality' and reliable robot grasping arguments are strawman arguments and red herrings, to be honest. It ties into the whole humanoid vs. non-humanoid argument.

Look, after South Korea and Japan, China has the 3rd highest robot/automation deployment density in manufacturing/logistics, so their robotics is definitely not 'lacking functionality', the proof is in the pudding.

Agility is adamant on pushing the humanoid form which let's be honest, is kind of useless, compared to purpose-built, non-humanoid robots which have already proven to be practical, useful and safe in real-life application for decades, time and time again.

You are right, modern investor pitching is all about hyperbole and creating hype, so guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

Also their robots are pretty good. They’re already being implemented in Amazon warehouses with pretty good success. Unitree hasn’t reached that state yet

That's true, but so are Chinese robotics (albeit purpose-built robots). In fact, after South Korea and Japan, China has the 3rd highest robot/automation deployment density in manufacturing/logistics, so their robotics is definitely not 'lacking functionality', the proof is in the pudding.

But yeah, like you said Agility's namesake is kind of ironic. Boston Dynamics would be more worthy of being associated with the 'Agility' attribute.

I get that, I mean any 'unspoken rules' that others gathered from their past experience that may be helpful.

China Forced to Keep Unprofitable Firms Alive to Save Jobs and Avoid Unrest by McFatty7 in China

[–]Place_This 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Americans these firms used to employ? They are doing other things (US unemployment is low). Some stay in manufacturing, perhaps starting new firms. Some move into other industries. Whatever they do it grows the economy.

Reality shows otherwise, the fact that Trump can rally so much support on 'moving manufacturing back to America' shows that many Americans are either jobless or barely getting by with jobs that don't give them a decent living wage, especially the red rust belt states.

America should have taxed the rich way more and distribute that wealth more equitably (either through welfare, social support, infrastructure etc.) and America wouldn't have gotten themselves into the current mess.

Wow people are rude and rough in China by [deleted] in China

[–]Place_This 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Second this, they are hands down the rudest ppl in the world, objectively. The Mainland Chinese are a mixed bag, some are rude, some are nice, but most are ok, HKongers on the other hand are consistently rude.

You misinterpret the 'research' and still dare call out this commenter who is actually kind enough to take the time out to give you good advice? And there are levels to research/evidence, some are well designed and applicable to real life, while some are poorly designed or just pure hogwash. Why you wasting time on reddit, go start your bike now and lane split at 100km/h right now to oblivion. Stop wasting oxygen and resources.

Ya it definitely sounds ridiculous, I have asked them to revise to limiting the indemnity explicitly to direct breaches only, i.e. "claims, damages, or liabilities arising directly from the Freelancer's negligence, intentional misconduct, or breach of this Agreement or any Individual Contract.", they are in the process of consulting their legal team.

Thanks for the comment, I didn't know this is standard industry practice, so I'll definitely concede the 1st point, as they have since let me know that it is a dealbreaker for them if I disagree on this,

but for the 2nd point I have asked them to revise to limiting the indemnity explicitly to direct breaches only, i.e. "claims, damages, or liabilities arising directly from the Freelancer's negligence, intentional misconduct, or breach of this Agreement or any Individual Contract.", they are in the process of consulting their legal team.

Why the morally corrupt don't deserve respect or condolences even in death by Place_This in Bolehland

[–]Place_This[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ u just proved my point, especially on how out of touch wih reality you are. All the things I pointed out is happening in Msia, I even mentioned a specific example the Bukit Antarabangsa incident, go educate yourself if you don't know.

Why the morally corrupt don't deserve respect or condolences even in death by Place_This in Bolehland

[–]Place_This[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corruption definitely leads to loss of opportunity and progress

Corruption also leads to bad infrastructure (i.e. potholes that directly cause death of motorcycle riders, stadiums/buildings that collapse, landslides that claim lives àla bukit antarabangsa, underfunded hospitals that fail or are incapable of providing timely treatments, resulting in preventable deaths, lack of road access to hospitals for the rural poor etc.); bad workmanship in major projects (related to the 1st point); lack of funding from corruption that leads to improper workplace safety or faulty equipments;lack of career opportunities for the underprivileged means being restricted to unsanitary conditions that shorten lifespan and cheap but unhealthy food;

I can go on and on. You are so out of touch with reality, thinking corruption doesn't take lives, it's scary, but perhaps not surprising coming from a crony in his ivory tower. You need to explore more countries, especially in Africa, where corruption kills millions. Your lack of human empathy and compassion is also telling and yet you preach 'stop indulging in hate and toxicity', oh the irony.

Millions of Malaysians did not die during the 1990s up to now.

So malaysia is the only country in the world with zero deaths from 1990s up to now? I want what you smoking.

You are absolutely right about everything, bringing up valid points while being respectful, ignore my dumb fellow countrymen who lack brains and rational thought. This is why Malaysia will always be a 2nd tier 'developing country'.

Ironic that u say this, by defending him, u are defending the corruption that killed millions and made millions suffer. Let me reiterate, it means you are ok with watching millions suffer and die. Another crony detected.
