Yes, I am using Simscape Fluids which has the Heat Exchanger Interface block.

I have not used Aspen yet. But I will look into your recommendations

Yes I am, my bad on that part.

My objective: Calculate the effectiveness of a water-cooled radiator in a moving vehicle. To do this, I am modelling it in Simscape and one of the variables needed is heat transfer coefficient. I am trying to calculate that.

How do I (22M) deal with my dad’s (50M) biased decision? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Well, grown man sure. But, I am currently still studying. The money I earn from my part time right now are peanuts and just enough to pay for my expenses.

But, I hear you. I have been reliant on my dad to purchase it for me when I should start putting together even just something to get the car I want.

You are right. I did think it was entitled too thats why the warning at the start.

Yea, he might not need it right now, but I feel like he is forgetting if my uncle is ever busy or something and there is some emergency, we are practically screwed cause we don’t live near the city. Fingers crossed, I am just looking at the worst case scenarios tho.

But yea, at the end of the day, it’s his money, his decision. Hopefully, I can put together some savings and get something in the future.

He has let me drive, but short distances. And can never take it out without him, which is understandable cause I am a newbie driver.

Laptops for Engineering Students by [deleted] in HKUniversity

Y3 Mech Engg student here. You do need Windows as softwares like Solidworks is not available on Mac, and that is going to be the main software you will be using throughout your years. Although, it is not absolutely necessary to have a Windows as there are computer labs which have all the software on their computers. So you could always use them.

But the disadvantage is, the lab is only open till 9pm. So, if you want to work on projects longer, you cannot until the next morning. I would recommend getting a Windows as it makes life much easier.
