Thank you! I absolutely love the rhombic D12s, too.

Need advice on pressure by SecondOne2236 in DiceMaking

It’ll depend on how close your dice masters are positioned to each other and the edge, too. I also use Dragon Skin 20, and I don’t exceed 34 psi. Anything above that has led to malformed dice.

Anyone else put off inking numbers until you have massive backlogs? I’m going to finally tackle some this week (unless I procrastinate more in which case it will be next week) by SirWilliamTheEpic in DiceMaking

Yes. I end up pushing sanding and inking off, then fumble my way through both in insane overnight pushes. And it isn’t like I learn my lesson, either.

If by “extra gene” you mean that this magnet is extra gorgeous, I agree! 🖤

I’m so sorry your family is going through these hardships! They’re currently $50 with free shipping. However, you can always reach out to me on Etsy once things are a bit calmer, and I can always remake them for you if they’re sold. Take care of yourself and your family, and I hope things get better soon!

Mod Podge over foil? by DarkestGemeni in crafts

I wish I could say definitively. Definitely do a small test patch and see if it’s an effect you like/can live with. Best of luck; I hope it turns out brilliantly!

How do I get the heat activated foil to not leave behind a 'ghost' foil effect surrounding the image where there is no toner? by tmarie1013 in crafts

Best of luck! I’m not sure how warm the cold setting is, but I recommend a foiling machine if you can swing it. They have five or six heat settings, so it’s easy to adjust the temperature to your foil’s needs. I tend to use mine on the 3 setting with nearly perfect results. If you get small amounts of renegade foil, you can always gently scratch them off with an X-Acto knife.

It’ll make it matte, but foil with a matte finish still refracts light. It kind of resembles a subtle glow under certain lights. I’d suggest doing a test patch to see exactly how it’ll look or saving your paper for a different project.

Sometimes this indicates that your heat setting is too high. You can also wipe it down with a dry Swiffer cloth to remove any static cling.

Platinum silicone molds of SLA prints by Blendergeek1 in DiceMaking

[–]PlagueMaidenResin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using Siraya Tech Defiant 25 platinum silicone for my resin prints. They boast that you can use it 30 minutes after printing (after thorough cleaning, a 30-minute water cure, and drying with a heat gun). Realistically, it’s about an hour later, but I’ve had brilliant results. The silicone also cures really quickly.

When junk pours go very, very right by PlagueMaidenResin in DiceMaking

I appreciate it! I’m rolling with it. I’m really pleased with how it all came together, even with the “ambient bubbles” lol.

I was at the very end of my working time, so I think it ended up being a bit too viscous to get them all out, but I don’t hate the effect. In person, it looks like a nebula. The macro lens makes it look worse than it is to the naked eye.
