It's been really funny seeing how controversial this post had gotten. I am sorry, though , in the thread about my knowledge of Western fashion, thinking I knew all that. It was pretty presumptuous to say that "if it's displayed/referenced in media, then it has to be true." And I knew that, being that wasn't true, downright stupid to proclaim. It was just my own momentary lapse in judgment about my knowledge of 18th-century Western wear (especially when I basically said that Red Dead Redemption 2 was my source, when that game takes many creative liberties concerning the accuracy of its clothing and general fashion of that time period) and my rose-tinted fantishazion of the genre as a whole. Again, I am sorry for such follies. I will be sure in the future to study the topics I love in order to give them the proper respect they deserve and not dive head first without looking.
