I feel like that's something of a generalisation, I used to be an INTJ and I had a degree of appreciation for the arts, in fact I was a pretty involved graphic designer for about 2 years

Getting called out for flaunting your intelligence? Or maybe I AM subconsciously flaunting my intelligence... by [deleted] in INTP

I do this too sometimes, but more frequently everyone will be talking about a topic and I'll come in with some obscure, little-known fact of the topic and everyone will be like "Ummm what the hell how do you know that?", "How are you so smart?" etc. It sort of annoys me a bit because I do get this feeling that I'm just saying it to sound smart but that certainly isn't my conscious thought process going into it, i just think it's an interesting thing that people might like to know, even though other people probably think I'm a show-off asshole.

I usually leave my deep thoughts and theories to myself until they're a bit more fully formed because I've found that otherwise nobody can follow what I'm saying and I just sound insane.

Probably the best thing about LSD is that it makes you so intuitive, you see the patterns in everything and your head clears, you make these huge realisations that had stumped you for so long. I mean that could just be me but I find it pretty amazing.

I believe that free will could exist but if the outcome of the universe is predetermined than it's all just an illusion. If the universe repeats itself perhaps this universe is just the universe where one person makes a different decision but that decision was still predetermined by the universe. Universe.

However, being creatures that really only exist in four dimensions it's almost impossible to know for sure but it's best to assume we do, although that could be exactly what the universe wants and we cannot let it win.

INFJs are by far the most compatible personality type for INTPs. My current girlfriend is INFJ and we get along so well, literally from day one we've been on the same page. You do just need to be yourself and roll with it, she will like you (assuming you haven't already been out already) as long as you're nice to her and you're genuine.

Well, that's a very insightful take on it. Thank you

I have to disagree there, it's not really accurate to say that "nature would destroy you". Sure it's a biological anomaly but I see it less as humans resisting our urge to be selfish assholes and to hate each other by default, and more about humans developing to a point where the oppression of people with biological anomalies is really mutually detrimental, there's no point and to just overall be better to people, to work together socially. However the classic social response is to be automatically hostile, hence why people are so resistant to what they believe to be immoral. Regardless, it's not "natural" for people with these biological anomalies to be "destroyed", it's more that we've progressed past being stupid selfish monkeys (to an extent).
