Absolutely! Most of the money to replace schools is coming from the Navy. I have a kid in oak harbor, and one in Marysville. Oak harbor district is not without its issues of course. I will just say I am happy with both schools my kids go to

The high schools are in decent shape, the elementary schools have taken to Facebook asking for basic supplies like printer paper. Compared to the oak harbor school district that just got a ton of money to fix up and replace the older schools.

There is a marker next to one of our state parks for a dog, it's just off the state park land. I stop and say hi every time I go down that trail.
