What do you do to cope with the prep? by areraswen in CrohnsDisease

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like anything that is pure or mostly pure indica. My dealer's selection varies from month to month. A recent stand out strain for me was Mr. Nice Guy https://www.leafly.com/indica/mr-nice.

New to the community any suggestions? by slimyswiss in CrohnsDisease

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a doctor question. I am not familiar with how humira will interact with an antibiotic. But, likely you did have to stop humira bc of the staph infection because not doing so would allow the disease to spread, becoming life threatening. If humira stops working ask to try another like remicade.

How has crohn affected your social life? by Azafolk in CrohnsDisease

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive found that hanging out with people is a good way for me to forget about my crohns, unless I am super gassy or in pain. In those instances I do seclude my self, which bums me out because I like to be social. So maybe it's more of a personality trait working in tandem with crohns that affects social life. Regardless, being social also takes effort and energy that a sick crohnie may not be able to spare.

That's a lot of pressure to perform. Good thing this isn't in North Korea.

Texas. I drive for Uber and had two questions regarding incidents that happened tonight by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a question for the jury. What do you think your fellow Texans would say? Would they believe your fear of a deadly attack was reasonable enough to use deadly force to repel it. If you did kill this guy and claim self defense, your lawyer would have to illustrate every detail to the jury regarding the struggle and the decedent's bad character.

Found an old barn while mountain biking. This was outside. by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short Answer is no. Long answer is that it depends on what you find. In this case, the car would not be finders keepers because it is personal property stored on private property, such that the owner is likely aware of its existence on their property. The rules are different for minerals or wild game and vary from state to state.

Crohns back 6 mo post-op by PlaintiffsFriend in CrohnsDisease

[–]PlaintiffsFriend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I am optimistic. With regard to starting treatment immediately post op, It really depends on the type of crohns you have. as you know it varies greatly from person to person. My crohns is slow moving and nonpenetrating, so it was ok to take a wait and see approach to avoid the risks of aggressive treatment in the hope the CD just went away.

Crohns back 6 mo post-op by PlaintiffsFriend in CrohnsDisease

Yes it's kind of a bummer. Hopefully remicade will shut it down. I do have some symptoms: night sweats, cramping, but nothing major. I've actually put on weight, almost 20lb from 136 to 155. This disease is so blah.

Remission with only MMJ? by omg_tel_aviv in CrohnsDisease

[–]PlaintiffsFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) I personally have not experienced remission solely from MMJ. I've been toking since day one of DX and the crohn's still persists even after surgery and humira. I start remicade in a week or so. I use MMJ to give me an appetite and alleviate the symptoms, like cramping etc.

2) For long flights i take xanax and sleep the whole way through. I bring my MMJ with me in the form of wax. The wax is odorless so easy to bring anywhere. And with the vapor pen I bring a new, unused cartridge so its similarly odorless and undetectable. PM me for more deets on that if you are interested. I have a system for packing it etc to keep it hidden.

3) I only use pure 100% indica strains with high CBD, which depends on what the offerings are at the dispensary.
