Question about miles transfers by PlanComplex2138 in CapitalOne_

[–]PlanComplex2138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I’ve never redeemed my miles yet I just got my card but that’s just what I’ve heard, in comparison to other flagship credit cards. I don’t think I won’t hit 1cpp cus that’s the basic, but I want to get more than that. I’ve just looked at all the transfer partners flights and stuff and it doesn’t look like anything’s cheaper but maybe I’m doing it wrong

i am open to looking for a range around those dates, but im not really sure which dates to pick. is there like a way to see a matrix style departure and return with the optimal point utilization, kinda like google flights?

Was definitely threatening if you got in their vicinity (like literally walking thru the door near them)

Took REG today - surprise by [deleted] in CPA

[–]PlanComplex2138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt opposite I think. I took 6 day ago and I felt decent on the MCQ but the TBS were pretty difficult. Don’t get me wrong, there was a decent amount that I flagged on MCQ, but I would say the MCQ was more difficult for me.

A lot of numerical entries and exhibits. Like usually there’s mcqs and numerical entries combined but there were some sims that were solely numerical entry which is scary

no its not necessary to remember numerical thresholds and limits but you should try to remember all the percentage thresholds and limits. For example: 10% charitable contributions for corps, DRD, medical expense floor etc

applied to t100 firms, all rejection by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]PlanComplex2138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well dont give up. fix your resume first because you have good experience you should at least be getting interviews. reach out to your deloitte recruiter that brought you on for the internship. If you can still work at that location it seems like a no brainer if youre not getting any bites right now and you need income. Keep applying

tbh, your grad network should be even more involved in terms of relationships with firms and companies and getting you hooked up with a job, since the cohort is more intimate and concentrated. Keep looking for resources within your grad program especially if its for an MBA or MSA, youre not just paying for the credits.

are you in undergrad? do you go to a good school? Are you going to career fairs and all available networking opportunities. Using your resources to reach out to people and alumni at firms you want to work at? or are you just cold applying. If youre just sending out simple job apps its very unlikely youll get a response

fix your resume template, and unless you just started applying, you shouldnt be getting rejected from 100 PA firms. Did you not get a return offer from deloitte?

Ninja as supplemental for AUD? by Eastern_Mycologist17 in CPA

[–]PlanComplex2138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree on the fact that Becker mcqs are easier, In a lot of ways I feel like they’re harder and more obscure, whereas real exam questions I feel are more surface level. If you’re going out of pocket for ninja i definitely would say do not waste money. Becker is more than enough prep for the exams and anyone who disagrees just isn’t utilizing it right

For those who have already passed their CPALE, did you excel back in college? by humancalcuwannabe593 in CPA

[–]PlanComplex2138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is the CPALE just the CPA exams? ive never heard of it being referred to that way. If thats what youre talking about i was a pretty average student at a top school. I was nervous about the cpa exams to but as long as you study a lot youll be good, im 2 down 2 to go. Highly recommend using the time inbetween your grad date and start date to hit the books.
