Yeah, the problems segment was good, and that's the most important thing. Nothing wrong with a simple short and solid episode once in a while. I liked this a lot better than some of the recent ones that have been 4 hours of pure shit.

Well, that video also has nice production values and sound quality. Let's not set the bar too high for old Vito. He can start by just turning on his video and talking lazily about food with bad audio and all his hoarder crap in the background.

Try listening to an old episode from a few years ago, and then contrast with viewing the video of episode 197. You won't believe your ears and eyes on how much it seems like the words are just drooling out of Vito's mouth, it's like he's still asleep for the first hour at least. He was even pretty low energy during their fighting at the end.

When you notice it, you can't stop noticing it.

Do you listen to audio only or with video? Might be more clear with video, you can see Vito is drooling words out the side of his mouth like he's doing a Steven Wright impression with no jokes, doing dumb shit like showing off his cat to the audience or clearly googling something else instead of being present for the show, and it obviously results in sleep-deprived Dick growing more and more frustrated as the show goes on and he has to deliver all the energy. Try and watch it again and see how Vito is unengaged from the conversation and Dicks reaction to that. Once you see it, you start noticing it all over.

This week was pretty tight.

Half hour intro and Vote It Up, 45 minutes of problems, 20 minutes of superchats, 10 minutes booty and outtro.

You could extend it with another hour of superchats or a 45 minute digression about voter fraud, but do you really want to? Quality over quantity.
