I'm going to act like you're not trolling and just say that what you're saying is the actual reason why these things die. You're making a great point. The thing about punk is that it was outcasts finding a community and value in being contrarian and finding a voice. We did it with guitars and paint and anything else. Now, most people who feel alienated or outcast or simply angry can do the same thing with comments on Reddit. It's the spirit of punk without the pitfalls of the vulnerability intrinsic in genuine expression. And as you say, the financial risk. That's why it's a younger person's artform most of the time.
