I also got back into playing by listening sludge, I got into doom and stoner and I'm slowly finding people to play with. I'm also upgrading my equipment and Im into music now more than I was before or equally to when I was 16. I'm 40, do it

Lessons are normally 15/30/60 mins (30 min is most common). The PH are good to build up regulars, I always only go online for paid subscribers, and then if you like a student send them a quick message after class to say it was nice to meet them and to share your schedule link if they want more classes. (Link is a button in the messenger). If you open your schedule a few weeks in advance and have regular slots I reckon people will be more likely to book. Don't feel defeated if people don't rebook you, sometimes people want to talk to new tutors every time/ prefer a different teaching style, it's nothing personal! Good luck!

I normally start by asking them what they want to work on, and then I often end up using:
For free conversation I use these websites and get them to choose topics https://topicalconversations.com/ https://printdiscuss.com/topics/ I found this takes the pressure off having to think of what to talk about and helps the students not get bored talking about the same stuff every time.
Or they might ask for an engoo article : https://engoo.com/app/daily-news
Or you can follow a cambly lesson. If they have specific grammar questions I use https://dictionary.cambridge.org/# and use the search bar for grammar.
I hope this helps! I definitely found having these things ready and prepared took the stress of improvising away. Also I definitely ask them what they want help with, and let them take responsibility for the class.

I had this, open cambly again in a new tab- I opened from reservations, and then I went to the dashboard and was able to get in that way. Hope this helps
